E3 Wii: Demos running on Gamecube hardware?

Gamecube had 24MB main memory, 16MB audio memory, and the Flipper GPU had 2MB frame buffer, 1MB texture embedded memory for speed.

There were reports that the main memory had been doubled to 48MB for the Wii, but nothing with regards to audio memory or what is embedded in the new Hollywood GPU.

The GC had 48MB of ram. Wii is said to have 88MB. Audio memory is not separate in either.

Audio is my mistake for the naming of "A-Memory" which is Auxiliary Memory, (not audio - doh!). But it's still 40MB.

From www.nintendo.com tech specs, to break the memory down:

System Memory : 40MB

Main Memory : 24 MB MoSys 1T-SRAM, Approximately 10ns Sustainable Latency
A-Memory : 16MB (81MHz DRAM)

Flipper Memory : 3MB (Embedded)

Embedded frame buffer : Approx. 2MB sustainable latency : 6.2ns (1T-SRAM)
Embedded texture cache : Approx. 1MB sustainable latency : 6.2ns (1T-SRAM)
