I was in Synter High Wycombe last week looking through the 5 Series brochure, specifically at the 535D and I didnt see any options/lists/pics of a manual gearbox. Then again I could have missed it off.

Surely it will tell you on the BMW website?

I think it's officially auto only, but I read somewhere that it was about £1200 (ouch!) to change to a manual gearbox, presumably under the Individual program or something.

After Oracle posted about his test drive in a manual E60 535d and the investigation that ensued, I contacted BMW UK and asked them. At the time, I can't remember when exactly it was, the E60 535d was not available with a manual box and they envisaged that it wouldn't be offered with one in the forseeable future.

That's what BMW UK said.

Click Search, the white font above you, then click advanced, then type (using the keyboard) ORACLE, then go to page 2 I think. Quite easy really. Try it sometime. After all the stick i've had, do you not think its in my interest to find out who I really am?
