Anything over 3.5ghz is good with the E6600's. They can start to need some serious voltage after that.

What's your cooling?

my old e6600 ran 24/7 for 4 months or so @3.6ghz, vcore in bios of 1.525, think it dropped to 1.478 or so in windows. tested it for 14 hours in orthos, temps rarely strayed over 60.c under an arctic freezer 7 pro cooler. that was during the cooler winter months temp would be a bit higher now that summers kicking in.

i had no problems with mine, even pushed it once to 3.74ghz, vcore of 1.578. was stable enough to run 3d mark 06 but i only done it the once. as long as the temps arent to high you should be ok, personally i try to keep below 65.c.

my cooling is an old Zalman Ultra Quiet cpu cooler, its not my main pc. i was just playing around whilst trying to get the other to work (as i'm waiting on RMA's and advice as i cant get it going.)

just put my old on back together and i wanted to see how far i could push it. not really doing well. the best temp i've got so far is 52 and thats only at 2.7GHz. :( think my vCore is 1.3v and NB 1.2 but when i pushed it up to 3GHz i got the 65c 8(
