E92 335i - Angel Eye problem :(

Depends on the ones you get if they are designed for the e92 then they will work fine with no error codes. I am not keen on the yellow look angel eyes, my LEDs work fine and no error codes. Just putting any H8 LED bulb in can end up with the cost of a new light module. It is a 5minute job to change the bulbs as long as you have small hands . . . . took me longer though.:D

Any tips on where to source ones designed specifically for the E92? When i get the problem fixed i would still like the white rings! It looks like i bought generic ones which have damaged either the wiring or light units themselves.

There is nothing wrong with the stock OEM angel eyes. To even want to change them for anything different puts me a little beyond comprehension, if I'm honest :(

Well we have differing opinions! Both look good, but as I bought it with the white lights, i've got used to them and i know no different! Don't the newer e92's have white/blue colour lights now?

Personally I prefer the crisp white look to the yellow glow and that was the only thing I didn't like about the look of the car. There are loads of plug and play LEDs and I tried a few but to get decent ones that are bright in daylight costs.:( Lux H8 V3 or CPD

Either that or look at M-TEC, whiter than stock halogens (MTEC left, LUX right).

Another plus for me is the LUX do not dim on sidelight or when the headlights are on.

They don't 'dim', they get brigher when the lights are turned off because when they are in DRL mode, they are supposed to be brighter.

Personally I really like the contrast of yellow ring with white Xenon and always have right since the E39. It's a shame BMW have moved to white angel eyes now and it's doubly a shame that people keep fiddling with the older ones trying to mod the white look :(

Thanks for the link, will definitely look into these...although, as you say, they are quite expensive!

Also - you have a wrong coloured and wonky numberplate on the front :D
