It doesn't seem to like reflection in the eyes. And if you get the alignment out when using a side image as well as the front, you can end up with 4 eyes, or two noses like I had.

yeh, you have to align these green dots to the photo (eyes, jaw, mouth etc) the pic i used, no matter how i aligned it.. the green dots wouldn't match up

I see what you mean, its on a slight angle and makes the weird game face look even weirder!
