EA - We Can Do Better

The tallest trees catch the most wind. At EA we remain proud and unbowed.

>>>In other words, screw you all, I'm a big corporate kahuna and you can all suck my balls.

People voting EA as the worst company of the year are utterly retarded. There are far worse organisations out there.

But things like slave labour and dumping chemicals in rivers are not as bad as microtransactions or excessive DLC.

Indeed, remember kids if you voted EA as the worst company you are a homophobic bigot!, no really.

The same trick is being used in the US government. "If you disagree with any of the retarded laws Obama passes, you're a racist!"

And if you are "suspicious of government activity" you are classified as a "right wing terrorist"

The comment on Origins 45 Million "users" really annoyed me. I wonder how many it would be if you weren't forced to have one in order to play certain titles.

This is the same for steam games too. What's the difference.

Valve have never used their registered user count to declare their platform a success over a service they know to be superior.

Also, I have an Origin account yet I never created or wanted one. My EA Account for BF2 was "converted". Do I install or use Origin, NO but for their "stats", that is a registered account. I never registered it, lying ********.

They are doing what to some is regarded as "fudging the stats".

That is the difference.

Valve have never came under so much scrutiny so have never had to try and defend themselves with figures. I just don't know why people feel so passionately against EA. Fair enough they made some crap decisions but it's funny how personal some of you take it.

For example I personally detest Facebook and everything about it. So I deleted my account over a year ago and never looked back, I don't rant about it or bother with anything related. If I hated a company so much I'd just ignore their stuff rather than get all worked up over it.

That is part of the problem.

They would not be under scrutiny if they did not say such stuff. They just treat us like idiots.

+1 :)

Think some of you need to get a little perspective.

When Valve first released Steam they took an absolute ton of stick actually. People detested it for a very long time.

However they made strides to really make the experience better and gave features people wanted and appealing sales. EA have done naff all with Origin except place overpriced games and DLC on it.

It's obvious EA aren't "The worst company in America!" however they aren't a very good company either, they bring a lot of the hate upon themselves.

For instance what kind of idiot PR advisor allowed that message to go out? Could they not see how it would make them look?

EA are quite influential and they all of their decisions are for maximum profit while making things worse for the consumer.... Do you want to end up where all games are based on microtransactions and you have to pay every time you play?

I think many who are passionate about gaming and for whom it is a big part of their lives (Me so since I was a child) are fed up with Electronic Arts and their like ******** over the industry and treating everyone like idiots.

They need to realise that what they are doing is WRONG. That statement by Moore was a joke and far from getting "Worked up over it" it annoys me the way they treat the industry and those who consume it.

For the record, I am not playing Sims 3 as my Sig suggests, my daughter is. And it was purchased before E.A boycotted Steam and launched "Origin", it was the EA Downloader back then :)

It's just annoying that so many good games have been ruined by Ea and then they wonder why they get the hate. I don't understand what goes on in the world of ea that makes them take a game, remove most of the best bits, put in rubbish and then re badge as a sequel. They do it time after time, they're incompetent.

Battlefield 3 came out with a phenomenal engine, and far more interesting advancements than its Call of Duty competition, however because it followed the hugely loved Bf2 it was hated by that crowd. I personally think they might get negativity in every sequel they ever do becauseI of the purists who want new games, but don't want them to change from old games.

EA take good game franchises and ruin them

Command and Conquer :(

Disregarding even more lies they told prior to release?

"We can do better"

Be hard to do worse in all fairness you ballbag!

People seem obsessed with Peter Moore and his balls or their purse. I agree with the above though :)

Peter Moore is a corporate sheep to be honest, pay him money, he will let you **** him up the ***.

Some of the things he said while at Microsoft were laughable.

For those interested, Moore is one of the reasons why EA Sports canned the majority of their releases on PC.
