Surprised that I could not see a thread about this considering how may sim racers are on here but that said 3 letter searches are a little iffy so maybe I just missed it

"From the makers of Dirt Rally" front an centre, this is basically a codemaster game now that EA bought them up.
There was also a Twitch announcement stream which made the game sounded very promising, However its now EA game so time will tell, please no micro hell.
As I have game pass ultimate i will get a 5hr trial before i buy, but looking forward to a good new rally game as WRC generations was disappointing.

let us know if the Codriver side of things works out well

drakulton

maybe keep an eye on this one here?

some additional info to scan through :

it does seem to support VR
the Co Driver seems to be automated.

Dirt Rally is a good series but went back to a modded RBR the other week and after all these years it’s still somehow levels above everything else in the genre.

If they improve Dirt Rally’s FFB and make it less forgiving then it could turn out great, sadly I imagine both of these things aren’t even being considered as options.

Pretty much DR3.0 with official WRC license so can't wait, let's just hope EA didn't meddle too much.
Pretty much sums up my feeling to this. Hopefully its just a bigger better version of DR2.0.
DR2.0 wasnt perfect by any means, but it was a great leap from DR1. I felt it was a great balance to the unrelenting realism of RBR, and the glitz and glamour of the Dirt series that went off in some bizarre tangents and never did the Colin McRae series, its spiritual predecessor any justice.
I just hope EA hasn't got its claws too far deep into it, I mean its pretty much a given but I can only hope. Lets face it Micro-transactions are going to be a thing... I just hope they are not too obtrusive.

I'm just happy for a new serious/semi-serious rally sim though. I've recently just got back into Sim racing it with a Moza R5 setup. I've also just ordered a Moza Handbrake to complement the setup. Cant wait!

Since I got my new wheel I've been really looking forward to it, Playing a fair bit of DR2.0 in the meantime. Really excited for the new stages!

Their website says that you get access to the full standard edition game with ea play

Game pass users should get the standard edition as a result

Build the car of your dreams and get behind the wheel for 5 hours, 3 days before launch with the EA Play* early access trial. Plus, members can unlock up to 5 cosmetics in EA SPORTS™ WRC each season and save 10% on purchases of EA digital content. Just $4.99 a month. Cancel anytime.

That reads as 5 hrs to me,

However the table below is confusing, possibly even misleading.

Yea, it’s not the clearest.

I’ve understood it as you get 5 hours early access and then the standard edition game on release. We shall see
