EA WRC -

It's a given these days, so I'm going to say with 95% certainty, yes.

As for WRC, I can't wait!!!!!! Love rally games, Dirt 2 was good, but really bare bones at launch and as others have said, tarmac just felt too floaty. Hopefully this will be the latest and greatest rally game as it's been a while since we got a good one.

Tarmac is more or less the same from all reports and the game has the same physics issues that Dirt Rally 2 had… so if you were able to overlook the dodgy handling in that then you should be able to in WRC

Honestly, I play more for the arcade side of things, I don't have assists on and everything is manual but I use controller, so I'm not expecting sim level controlling and Codey's have always had the issue of centre point turning, it's masked well enough that through regular play it can be put aside in the brain.

If they take a step back however, then yea, it's a problem. I just want to tear it down some stages in fun cars :) If I wanted online competitive, I'd avoid entirely as the centre point turn can also be used as an advantage. Messy, but it'll do for standard campaign fun.

That's a bummer. Might get it on EA then as the keys are cheaper.

Same here, rally games are my some of my favourites and I've been waiting eagerly for DR3.0, which this effectively is, while playing some WRC10, Generations and GT7 on the PS5.

Not exactly thrilled by the EA partnership but still hope Codies deliver.

from what i seen shown tarmac looks similar to dirt rally 2.0. could never get it right but then again very few car games do. original assetto corsa was probably closest i played to decent tarmac handling. controllers and 3rd person car cam you can do better on tarmac easier than wheel users but decent wheel users will still be top of the times list.

im sorta 50/50 with the title. probably just wait till its cheap then pick it up.

No worries at all.

I looks like it should be a good game with all the previous pedigree behind it. For sub £30 (I had some cdkeys "koins" on my account) I am happy r go with it.

New wheel stand on the way too in preparation :)
Out of interest are you able to download the game? there seems to be an issue with codes from 3rd party sites not getting the early access and preorder bonuses looking on EA answers who are being very unhelpful to people who bought it on 3rd party sites (understandably).

I dont care about skins and outfits, I am kinda annoyed i cant play (or even preload) till later

Not 100% sure. With mine being activated against my account already I thought would have been. Ok. But will have a nose now :).....please hold

Edit....mine says I can preload on 31st October at 4am. Assuming that is early?

I can fully confirm Preload is live for Steam install.

Does this have VR support? I could not see that it does on Steam.
VR support is confirmed, however it wont be available at release, and as far as I'm aware they havnt committed to a release date for VR, just that it will be post release. Correct me if I'm wrong but if I remember correctly this was the same with DR2.0?

Thats the day the early access starts but i have a feeling the Key CDkeys have sold us has no early access cause you should be able to preload now.

Not the end of the world but a little annoying and first time I've ever had any issue with something from CDkeys since buying Diablo 3 ROS from them and them making me wait for the Key till 6 hours after launch.

I think I'll just grab it on Steam with the 10% loyalty discount, not that much difference between the EA App key price on CDKeys and I will both have it on Steam and not miss out on the goodies/early access.

Very few games I'd be willing to preorder or grab on release but this is one of them so might as well.

Thats what I ended up doing. I'm well up for the new WRC from the early previews. To be honest I'd have been happy with DR2.0 with new stages and updated cars. I'm a little concerned about performance though, multiple reports from the previews about iffy performance even with very powerful systems. I'd normally just get it on CDkeys or similar, but I wanted to retain the ability to refund.

Oh damn, that got me worried. I have the option of going PS5 but they keep surprisingly quiet about the console versions and that doesn't bode well...

I mean its quite telling that they disregarded older versions of consoles. Quite a few Youtubers reported random noticeable drops in framerates and stuttering for short periods of time. However I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt in the fact it was an early preview and not the finished product. hopefully release day drivers and further optimisation will suffice. It has me concerned enough though.

Yeah, in this case I'm definitely going with Steam. I'll test it for an hour and refund if it runs like ****, will be easier than trying to flog the PS5 version If it's in a similar state.

Fingers crossed for release day drivers and that it indeed was an early build.

Ah well, as you say not end of the world but freebies are always nice

Not quite sure how they have managed to segregate the versions but if anyone was going to do it.....that's EA :p
