EA WRC -

For £29.99 and for what I've seen I pre-ordered.
I think i am with you my good man!

Looks VERY impressive so far, WAY above the Nadeo offerings, WRC Generations wasn't bad but its not great.

Been reading through the various sites to get confirmation, it looks like its JUST the 5 hours free trail on EA PLAY and then the full game under PRO, so worth picking up as £11 cheaper than EA atm

thanks for the heads up, just did the same, for £30 even if it has Dirt Rally 2 like launch issues, I am confident it will be a great game.
No worries at all.

I looks like it should be a good game with all the previous pedigree behind it. For sub £30 (I had some cdkeys "koins" on my account) I am happy r go with it.

New wheel stand on the way too in preparation :)

Yeah im currently looking at a Full rig to upgrade my bodged together, GT OMEGA wheel stand, extension, seat, DIY Leftover 8020 setup with something more professional looking. Fortunately they are out of stock of 2 parts and that stopped me dropping the hammer on it. I should really wait till there's a sale on.

Its getting to the point where the things i plug into my PC cost as much as my PC and that feels just wrong.

I am walking that tightrope of "this works" and "that would be cool" with regards to the overall setup lol. Need the space first in the house without it driving the wife mad either :D

not true triple support :(

Will there be true triple-screen support, with three separate images rendered individually and allowing for tripartite FOV and line-up between screens in a larger rig?

Gowing: It will be possible to run with three screens, of course, just like in Dirt Rally and Dirt Rally 2.0, but it's a wide Ultra Wide image across all three screens rather than what you're referring to.

not true triple support :(

Karl Gosling on YouTube is really not impressed by this news. (Can't link due to sweary's which is very unusual for him)

After the absolute steaming pile of turd that is Forza Motorsport. Its genuinely encouraging to hear a game might actually live up to expectations! :D

Tarmac physics might still have some room for improvement from the sounds of it though.

I've got faith that WRC will be decent enough but Traxion GG is an awful soruce for anything sim racing related imo, owned by motorsport games (worst sim raicng company of all time, basically scam artists) and they have been called out several times for being total shills.

Thats just the first three from my Youtube homepage. Seems an embargo was lifted hence the flood of first impression videos. So far universally promising it seems.

**Edit** Even Jimmer is getting in on the action!

Does anyone know if the Steam version still requires EA's nonsense app?

It's a given these days, so I'm going to say with 95% certainty, yes.

As for WRC, I can't wait!!!!!! Love rally games, Dirt 2 was good, but really bare bones at launch and as others have said, tarmac just felt too floaty. Hopefully this will be the latest and greatest rally game as it's been a while since we got a good one.
