The best thing happend to me today, I got iMac "24 2.66ghz version.

Long story short, in my appraisal I asked for faster PC to do video encode and the Sales Director got me and my team (3) 24" iMac's.

Couldn't be happier.

I need a new PC. Because I'm on a laptop and I need on for some desgin work.

I expect mine to be in the post tomorrow. Thx.

Nicely done :)

You should now ask for a Macbook Pro as well so you can *ahem* work when you're not in the office.

Well I don't think it will happen anytime soon.

This month we got Canon 5D Mark II kit, and x3 iMac's.

Now we have to show the money was well spent until the next financial year.

So you got the Base model iMac for Video coding hmmmm I was going to get that but was told to get the next one up for the better gfx card but now I am baffled. As this base model is in my price range.

Nice one mate, that shot of three in the back of a taxi made me salivate slightly. I'm not really a Mac fan but they are very nice machines.

Did you get them to edit the HD video off the 5DMK2?

Yeah we did and it plays 1080p perfectly and renders pretty fast. The base 24'' is good enough for editing short 2-5 min HD clips but if you plan to edit video as a primary purpose maybe higher end is more suitable.

Imagine that eh? Who'd of thought it - especially in the Mac forum

Yeah but don't you know he is the mac forum troller?
Erm, all i did is say how I would feel in that situation hardly makes me a troll. Go back to your stroking your aluminium.

Sorry Justin, the aluminium thing was trolling, but the first bit was not.
