Easyriders Car PC Project

Or, alternatively, if it does end up causing an issue, he could just close off those vents and make do with all the other vents in the dashboard...? Problem solved for the meantime.

Yup.

My car usually sits at 16c and I rarely use the middle vents.

People are looking for a problem that doesn't exist

echoed here

some nice ideas and a good PRACTICAL approach to an anti theft solution

some people will always be fashion over function

i will take function any time

next they will want your boot filled with a watercooled quadSLI beast
and a 24" dell mounted on your centre console

but as long as it works for you

doesnt seem like you have spent a fortune on it either!

Have to agree,

The most expensive thing was the screen and the xmod.:)

As far as car PC's that arent built into the dash go, this is a goodun. Single clean TFT with single visible wire, very nice.

Yes, it COULD be in the dash, and WOULD look nicer... but that would require more TIME and MONEY. Some people just dont have these....

:)

Easy, I was supporting your cause until you seem to have said "I have used phase I will destroy you on IT technology debates". You are renowned for posting tripe in the hardware section and now in Motors as well....

There is no cause to support.

I have a car pc installed in my car.

Couldn't give a monkeys hoop if people choose to dislike it.:)

That includes you.:)

Mate if you dont want comments, then dont post on public forum, if you want people to kiss you behind with every post go and post on a CARPC forum.

People have the right to comment good or bad, i would say only one real post has been out of line, and tbh some of your responses havent exactly been on the button either.

Mate,

I don't mind positive or negative comments.

But I wish people would be more detailed in their replies other than saying.

" Easy your car pc is Turd"

"Easy your car pc is gash"

At least make an effort when being negative. :)

Have you considered an ibus adapter like the resler one easyrider? It will allow you to use the multifunction steering wheel controls to control the PC without having to take your hand off the wheel. Quite a lot of people use these on BMW CarPCs. You can also do a few other cool things like control pretty much every single electrical component in the car, so for example you could have a button on the screen for any audio function, or even something like the windscreen wipers. You can also read various values from the car like time, speed, miles etc.

Just something else to add into the mix for your future possible upgrades to the system.

Yeah sounds interesting mate. The more funtionality the better.

How do they install?

Have you a link to the actual product?
