Ebay 4770k...

i just picked up a very cheap CPU of ebay.
Listed as...

4770k Working but delidded... he go's onto say he will not take responsibility for user damage
See if you can spot why its not working, i will not even bother putting it in a motherboard.

Any idea what could do that damage in the length of the die, thats got to take some force

The guy said it was fine when he sent it. I had to wait 14days and ebay refunded me.

I got a postage paid label too so I was not out of pocket

No way was that fine when he sent it, glad it's resolved and your not out of pocket

Wonder if eBay just took the hit for it and let the seller keep the money.

Probably knew full well that would be the outcome.

Thats not usually how eBay does business, they will go after the seller. The only time i've ever seen it go like that is where the seller offers a full refund, but the buyer refuses to return the item - I was the seller in such a situation.
