eBay and 0 feedback bidders

Make sure in your advert, you clearly state that you won't post abroad with no exceptions. That prevents a lot of zero bidders who happen to be scammers.

Yep from a business model perspective it'd probably be a bad idea for eBay to let people ban 0 feedback bidders, as it could frustrate new users. I've only ever done one transaction on ebay which was years ago so I've got no idea what my login details are, I'd probably have to start a new account.

True, but the OP said the item had "substantial value". Most first time ebayers won't go for expensive items.

That's not true at all.

I've sold several high value items on eBay to 0 rated bidders. First time I was nervous about it, some people only register when they've found the item they wish to buy.

If it was me, I'd cancel his bid. However you have mentioned the item is worth a bit.

i would do the same.

cancell his bid and if contact's you asking why then explain but ive got feedback of 500 and sold quite a bit and in the past have cancelled bid's but no one has ever asked why.
