Ebay buying low cost wholesale items/Bankrupt clearence items and selling on

I dont know if its good idea or not?

Dont wanna be stuck with 200,00 condoms and 100,000 toothbrushes in my room lol

also going to the post office all the time would be a pain in the ass

You wouldnt need to go "all the time" just get orders in at the end of the day, take to post office on way home from work. Or better still, dispatch from the office :) if you have a method of paying and sticking payment on

Sure you could just do two posts per week..Tuesday/Friday.

Anyway I have no idea if this is a good idea. I dotn see why not though as long as you sell cheaper than most competitors and its a common product.

Eg..if you buy 1000 cans off lnyx/axe deodarant Im sure it would sell fast. But then again you got ebay charges if you use ebay?

Nonetheless you should still make a good profit. And with the profits you could buy more.

I mean regular products such as Colgate toothpaste etc...I have no clue how to buy or where to buy in bulk though for 100% legit and without some business registration/card etc...Plus maybe you have to pay for license to sell even if you only use ebay as a sole trader license or something. I have no idea atm

Neither do I, unfortunatly I am quite impulse when it comes to buying or buying into an idea I am curious about :( we shall see though :)

Worst thing that will happen is i will make my £19 back

Well you can search for online wholesalers but I dont know who genuine they are. Also I dont know if you need some kind of business registration to sell x amounts of products?

If you knew some dodgy guys Im sure you could find all kinds of genuine products to buy at discount price lol

Or try something like Costco?

I remember I used to get like 12 cans of tuna from Costco for about 2 quid whereas at sainsburys it was like 4 cans for 3 quid lol.

Money can be made.

I bought 200+ tubes of banana boat suntan cream for £60

a mix of

If i was to sell it it would turn a nice profit, but i bought it for myself, and i give it away to family and friends.

Have a look in the wholesale beauty sections, as deals like this come up often. And there is a good profit margin in it.

wow like I say I have 5k to spend. I can make great profits doing this?

I wonder if you need some license to sell many products though?

200 off them at 2 quid pofit after posting would be 400 quid

The only way you will ever make money is by getting stuck in and having a go. Yes, you'll make mistakes, and you may have lost £50 or whatever, but you've already learnt a valuable lesson with regards to researching your market is key.

Don't listen to all the nay-sayers unless they actually have anything constructive to say - there are thousands upon thousands of people making a living from eBay and the like doing exactly what you're trying to do. Persistence and practice pays off - just don't start out expecting to make a million within your first year, or go from one profitable deal to the next.

Are your friends and family ginger or what?

If you want to make any money from selling "tatt" on eBay then you need to be buying direct from the manufacturer, most likely in China.

I make gifts and sell them direct on my own website and to shops. The supplies I use to make said gifts are all sourced from eBay and some of the stuff is ridiculously cheap that I don't know the original manufacturer makes a profit on it, let alone the reseller. The margins must be so minimal that you need to be shifting tens of thousands to realise any sort of worthwhile profit, and for that you need a shed load of space and a lot of general stock faff (packaging, postage, labels, etc).

No i normally go away quite a few times per year, and throw it away when coming home. So i use quite a lot, and shop prices £8+ each it's a no brainer.

Quite simply - cheap labour, be it kids or adults working for a few dollars a day.

True. And a huge volume.

What you need to find is a niche. Used/vintage scrabble tiles for example go for £8-10 for a set of 100 consistently. Considering you can pick up an old scrabble game for £3ish at a charity shop or car boot if you find any then there's a fair profit to be made there.

And have your fingers in enough pies/niches and it'll start to mount up.

Yeah, using 1/10th of a packet and throwing the rest away sure is a no-brainer. I don't think I've ever used £60 worth of sunscream in my entire life, but whatever :p.

Earphones were a terrible purchase, especially for the eBay market where the saturation is beyond crazy.

Just google about for some wholesale and ebay discussion forums. I don't know if I can name them but there are plenty of UK places on the web where you can get good quality community advice regardless of the scale of business you want.

Good luck to you.

1/10 of a tube well done I normally reapply twice a day, over a week or two that's two tubes per holiday, 4-5 holidays per year. it's paid for its self in one year. And it works great for favors as well ie here you go some free sun tan cream, before someone goes away normally saves me having to buy a pint or two on a night out.

Lol. Right.

What i did not buy it? or it would not return a profit?

As clearly just have a look on ebay at people selling large quantities, and how many sold so yes it does sell.

I bought it as no one else bid at the starting price of £60.

I refuse to believe you bought 100 tubes of suncream just for 'family and friends' :p
