well, i got an email back from paypal and yes, a fee of £15 will be taken off if i win the claim (which is only £17.10) so pretty pointless, as i assume i will still have to send the dvd's back to the seller anyway.
Which may unexpectantly get "lost" in the "post" and the original seller is left trying to claim it back from you/the postal service.

hmmmm, sounds suspicous - i hope you are not getting me in trouble ;)

Me? Never... :D

He should be emailing you before 20:00 to confirm his intent to refund, post back here if he doesn't. :)

ermm, i got this message:

Hello, your freidn told me to write you a messege and say that everythign is ok, we sorted out the problem

The guy is a complete moron... worryingly so... he doesn't even know how to use PayPal properly to send money that isnt in the payPal account, and he types like a test-lab chimp that's recently chewed its fingers off.

Email him back with your PayPal email address (that he can send money to) and instructions on how he can send it. Make it as simple as possible for the numpty to follow.

before i do this - has he actually agreed to pay me my money back?

Yes, says so. Just email him payment details, wait for payment (hopefully) then arrange to send the DVD's back. Make sure you specify exactly ow much he owes you (including all P&P) and give him clear instructions for Paypalling it.

you're right - this guys a moron.

he said he only has £6 in his account
so i told him he would registered his credit/debit card with paypal and just to make the payment and see what happens
and now he came back saying 'the money go into my savings account'
so ive told him to try and send the money using paypal and to tell me whats it says

Yup, dim as a three-watter this bloke. Let him try and muddle it out tonight (giving as much help as possible) and then post back tommorrow evening with an update.

Have you seen how many items he has for sale and the prices of them? Obviously he has funds, he's just trying to play dumb(er).

ok, i've told him he can add a credit or debit card to paypal and pay using that.

not sure if i'm getting anywhere with this guy.

i don't know what you are doing but i just got this message: 'Please tell your freind to calm down, i am going to refound youre money'
