I'm fuming right now. I saw a cream 3 seater sofa bragging about NO RESERVE - NO RESERVE on ebay that i wanted for the spare room. . I asked how much she wanted and she said £80. Let her know and she will end it today, but she is quite happy to let the listing run it's course if i don't offer the £80. I let it run it's course and won the auction last night at just £51. This morning i get a request to cancel the transaction as she as sold it to the person i outbid. They have obviously offered her more and she has accepted. I'm soo ****** off right now.

If you won the auction then she should have a contractual agreement with ebay to send YOU the item. If you show ebay the emails she has sent you about selling it to someone else im sure they will be on your side! And yes, the cheeky bi***!

I've just reported her but knowing ebay, they will just give her a slap on the wrist. What makes me wonder is.... The person i outbid isn't going to offer her much more than my £51, maybe £60. She has accepted this offer and has tried to cancel the transaction with me so she can claim her Final value fee back. I have refused to cancel, so she has been charged and case is closed meaning she gets charged about £8 final value fee meaning she has only made an extra £2-3 anyway so WTF was the point??. This is providing the outbid person only offered her £60, who knows? Ebay have made bidders anonymous from each other. God knows why? When you're in a real life bidding situation, you're not all hiding behind mirrored glass walls are you? Man i hate certain parts of ebay because of all this crap.

Seriously now, this might sound a bit sexist, but this is about the 4th time i've had trouble with female ebayers now, Bloody women!

They will probably do something as ebay are very buyer-sided at the moment

One of the many, many reasons I won't use eBay :). Not for actual auction buys anyway. It's very handy for ordering obscure parts from suppliers however :).

They'll probably do something as ebay have lost money from the sale.

Ebay haven't lost a penny because I declined her request to cancel the transaction, so ebay will still charge her the full works. Listing fee, final value fee. If i agreed to cancel, she wouldn't get charged and ebay would lose out. This was just my last punch in her beard before my fall **so to speak** :D

And now she's reporting me for offering money to end the auction early, so i sent her this

Go ahead. People offer all the time to end auctions early. However, not so many people cheat the system like you have tried to do, even trying to cancel the transaction to claim your Final Value Fee back even though you have sold it on ebay. How cheeky is that!! What makes me laugh is i bet all this hassle of floggin it to the underbidder isn't worth it in the end is it? For the sake of an extra 10-20 quid? Just goes to show what a money grabbing loser you really are. You're really shot yourself in the foot now. Enjoy paying your final value fee and i hope you learn from your mistake

My experience with Ebay re- a defaulting seller is that they try to get you & the seller to come to agreement, they don't make any attempt to force the defaulter themselves but rather leave it up to you to do all the chasing, makes it a mockery really

What was your exact wording in the message you sent to her about the £80, might not be against the rules.

Aye if you requested she add a buyitnow for £80 and you would buy it now, then thats perfectly acceptable. As long as you offered to purchase through the actual site.

Nice work spanking her. I'd suggest you shotgun her too by forwarding all comms to ebay and leave -ve feedback also.

She replied today...

I do not appreciate the lanuage you are using. At the end of the day you have no right to speak to me like that regardless of the outcome of this auction. It really shows what kind of person you are, one who is willing to abuse other members due an item not being for sale anymore. It happens, its a part of life, please get over it. Final value fee, what £2?? Yes you're right, I might ask ebay if I can spread the payment over 12 months.

What can i say to **** her off further? I just want to wind her up like she did to me :D
