I just shifted over onto Eclipse's Evolution Broadband, I've been with them ~3 years now.
It was only a matter of time before they implemented some sort of Fair Use policy TBH. They are throttling/shaping between 6PM and midnight. Between these times, my bittorrent/usenet downloads are approx 130KB/s, outside these times, I get the full 8MB So I just schedule my downloads for these times. Ce la vie! I'm on Evolution Option 3 btw.
Be realistic. You're primarily downloading music and movies (nobody needs that many Linux ISOs

) like everyone else. Until they upgrade the whole network to fibre, there will be a physical limit to how much data can be pumped up and down the wires. You're getting it for free, so stop complaining!
