Hi,

After some brake pads and discs for my volvo.

Usually Euro Car Parts have a discount code thing at the top of their site for 50% off or whatever.

I cannot seem to see one today, have they stopped doing those?

Its annoying. Two days ago they had a Bosch discount which meant I could get my ignition coils I need for about 30 quid cheaper than they are today.

But Car Parts for Less (same company) has a £30 off £150+ spend code I used instead, but for some reason if you use CPFL, it takes a day longer before you can pick up the parts in the store.

So the battery Ive ordered is in stock at ECP, but Ive bought it through CPFL for £20 cheaper via code, but can't collect until tomorrow even though its in stock right now.

the type 75 car battery linked in other thread was cpfl with a general ebay voucher .
I have the impression that ebay underwrite these vouchers, or, just significantly reduce selling fees for company

dispatched.

Ended up going with autodoc in the end.

I'd been keeping an out on on ECP every so often but no good discounts.

I tried ECP and Autodoc, needed a set of front disc's and pads for my Volvo, regular service parts (oil, oil filter etc) for both mine and Mrs Fiesta, and brake fluid as gonna do that.

Total bill on autodoc £235

I got past £300 on ECP for EXACT same parts, and I hadn't even finished adding everything to the basket.....

Autodoc can be dodgy as

Dodgy delivery times, difficult to do returns, parts not as expected, saying they have stock when they don't

All parts were good and as ordered, apart from one thing.

I ordered some posh Castrol branded brake fluid and I got some Bosch branded one instead, so I'm sure it's still decent stuff, they refunded me the difference as well, couple of quid of whatever.

Did take about a week for everything to turn up.

All sorted this morning.

Don't think you used enough copper grease

That’s way too much grease. The hub face shouldn’t have any on it, just a small amount round the centre. The back of the pad shouldn’t have any either. Copper grease is also pretty rubbish on the pad contact points too. Copper grease is an anti seize, not a lubricant. Get some proper brake grease!

He paid for all the tube he is going to use all the tube **** it :p

They used about 1/3rd the amount when doing my rear brakes and discs earlier in the week at the garage.
