Eid Mubarak

Not been fasting. a lot of people are doing it Thursday, this is due to them saying Saudi has done Hajj on the wrong day. Always two Eids nowadays.

It's always Eid. When I worked in a school half the pupils and teachers where off all the while because of Eid but I couldn't have my holy days off. :(

Eid Mubarak to all you Muslims, hope you have a good one.

Happy Yule/Winter Solstice to my fellow forum Pagans.

Yes you did, if you're a pagan. Don't you realise that the benevolent and wise Christianity stole your festivals because then they'd be able to have holidays together?

BTW none of the mussies where I work have ever had Eid off. They work through. They brought cakes and stuff in today.

Eid Mubarak peeps. Forget the lads who are trying to make a joke out of it.

Just shows mods aren't doing their job...

All of the muslims are moaning at work that they cant have the day off, it seems they dont realise that the company is staffed by 90% muslim/asian population so if they all wanted it off no one would be there.

I have until January 3rd off and with today's job interview which I felt went extremely well, a leaving note to look forward to giving when I return to work perhaps!

Tomorrow I'll be eating lots of food and having fun.

I am the winner here!

I know the Christians where nice enough to share their festivals with us heathens! ;)

Spread the love... however, no Mussies (love that word) brought me cake though. :(

whats your problem, we're trying to have ONE thread in which we can celebrate a religious festival. If you want "free speech", make another thread....

Anyway, Eid Mubarak to all! Who's been fasting then?

This is an Internet Forum, and whilst it would be wrong for us to outrightly offend any Muslims on this board it is wrong for you to expect non-muslims to keep their opinions suppressed just because you "have ONE thread in which we can celebrate a religious festival"

Last time I looked nobody had broken the rules or offended anybody so the Mods are doing their job thank you.

Yes, but it is still uncalled for, in the exact same context I wouldn't walk into a church to kick up a fuss if I disagreed with Christianity in some way. Its simple respect.

Happy festival of delusion and all the other religious celebrations that you have all been brainwashed into celebrating.

No-one has been personally insulted, and we are not in a mosque.
Obviously not, I was merely pointing out it is quite inflamatory to instigate such discussion in a thread which clearly had no interest in such topics.

Bah humbug to you too :p

Unfortunately free speech comes with the corollary that people are allowed to act like morons and trash threads for no real reason.
