Eid Mubarak....!!!

Countdown begins now :( Not long left to munch up. Then celebrating Eid ;)

Eid Mubarak everyone...!
 
Eid Mubarak guys, Its been a real tough one for my family, my kid brother has been very very poorly, infact we nearly saw him die infron of our eyes, its been a real test of faith. Fortunately he is improving.

And to get the perfect eid present, my wife gave birth to our first child yesterday, how awesome is that!

Quite a few people believed water was okay during the fasting. Just because you were aware, doesn't mean lots of others were not.

And I can say this from the response of about 50 workers, when they realised their colleague had been fasting without water during a busy night shift, and he passed out.

Its always better when you debate something, if you dont base the thinking of many on your own limited opinion.

If he was working the night shift he would have been able to drink, the fast is from sun rise to sun set.

:D Would the fasting through the day perhaps have hurt him? A knock on effect perhaps, I only saw him with the paramedics, didnt speak with him. but we got told by his friend that it was due to dehydration

When ever I was on the night shift I tended to sleep most of the day :D If he is fasting enough to make himself dehydrated then frankly he needs to stop as it isn't healthy!

My lovely neighbours are celebrating this too and they've kept me up every night since your fasting holiday happened, 2.30am onwards but hey that's ok it's a great time.... not

Eid mubarak all! Another ramadhan flies by, it's going to be even harder next year!! I can't wait , 2 hours to go before the biriyani :p !
 
How is it pronounced? I know Eid is "eed" - is mubarak "moo - barrack" or what? I'd hate to offend someone by pronouncing it wrongly :)

Doesn't matter mate, the majority of Muslims in GB are from a Pakistani background therefore will lack the ability to pronounce it in Arabic anyway. ;)
