I thought I would post my own thread rather than spam posting pictures in every other car thread, even though it isn't an A1 ;) at least people can just ignore this if they are not interested as I will be doing a few updates.

I don't know where the last few months have gone but it seems like I was only just ordering it last week.

The build list was as follows:
Audi R8 V10 Coupe - 6 Speed Manual
Brilliant Red with Carbon Sideblade
19” ‘10-spoke Y’ design alloy wheels
Brilliant Red Brake Calipers
Extended Fine Nappa leather Interior in Black with Red Stitching
Black Alcantara headlining
Audi Parking System Plus with reversing camera
Cruise control
Black styling package
Carbon sigma door mirrors - electrically adjustable and heated
Carbon sigma engine bay trim
Contoured 3-spoke perforated leather Sports flat-bottomed steering wheel - Exclusive Red Stitching
Audi exclusive black floor mats with R8 logo and Red Piping

My "handover" time was this evening so not a good time to take pictures and the lighting in that room wasn't great for my phone camera, combined with me wandering around it made every picture other than these two blurry :(:(

I will update tomorrow with some real pictures, including the interior, engine, etc. Just need to get my hands on my brothers DSLR and a loaf of hovis!

So far I have only put ~40 miles on it but damn I am in love with the engine and gearbox. The way it revs without forced induction is a pleasure, I have really missed that as this is the first NA car I have owned in over 10 years.
I thought the GTR was quite responsive but this thing is another level and although it lacks the ultimate power that I had in the GTR it really is plenty for where I live and can still get to silly speeds with ease, just not quite as fast and gut wrenching.
I had only briefly driven the manual before buying as the dealership demo that I had for the day was a V10 Plus S-Tronic, which was nice enough but not what I wanted. So having a really good play with the manual this evening has been so satisfying, the gated stick is brilliant and when you combine that with a nice throttle blip it is just perfect!
After I get some more seat time I will post some more thoughts, now off to go and have a stare at it in the garage and make sure it is OK :D

Update:

Managed to get a few iPhone pictures before it really started coming down!

Love this view!

This one also, looks so aggressive!

Really happy with the full leather interior, camera makes it look a little grey but it isn't. I didn't want any interior carbon after having the Plus for the day, it was not to my taste.

Red stitching is subtle but I think it works well.

Plenty of room next to the clutch for the dead pedal unlike the manual gallardo!

Nice Audi Golf Umbrella and 1L of Castrol Edge. There is actually more room than you think, 100 Litres of space and soft travel bags fit just fine.

Finally :p Looking forward to lots of photos and a good review in a few weeks/months. I was looking at a manual R8 at the last track day I went to, did like the gated stick, looked lovely!

Refinement is what I'll be going for after the GTR, nothing will match it for speed (until hybrid) but I could definitely do with s few less squeaks and rattles!

Cheers guys, I look forward to the next OcUK motors meet or karting day so someone can take some quality pictures for me again!

Lots of photos no problem! I am not the best at reviews but will do my best to give my impressions of it :)

I totally forgot about the ride quality, the Plus has fixed sport suspension that I wasn't really impressed with on the road (I am sure it is great on a track), compared to the 2012 GTR it was only a little better comfort wise and I think that was because it didn't have runflats but tonight I was driving along and suddenly realised how good the magnetic ride is and having normal tires again is so nice!

Fantastic - don't think I've ever seen one in red, and it works really well. Really hope I end up in a position to own something like that one day - bet you won't be able to stop smiling for months! :D

Great car. Can't imagine how good it must feel to take delivery of something like that! Think you went down the right path with the manual, never got on that well with the DSG version.

Looks amazing (photo is not too amazing though :p) and the facelift R8 has really grown on me since release. Best R8 wheels too imo.

The suspension/ride is quite amazing the R8 considering the size of the wheels etc it is more comfy than most sports cars. It's GT car at the end of the day so can obviously travel 500 miles no problem. :)

If I remember correctly, from the documentary about the factory where the R8 is made, then you don't have to 'run' it in. It's already done at the factory in the lab before the engine even gets dropped into the car.

Very nice, I test drove one a few months ago after I sold me 911, I am really tempted to get one at some point.

Hope you enjoy it!
