hi all been reading on the eizo website this is due to be released soon and has an ips screen but unable to find any uk stockists any ideas people it looks like a good screen and eizo qc is very good

That's no longer the case - https://twitter.com/EIZOUK/status/664084793001422848. It's also not the case that 'EIZO QC is very good'. Don't be duped into thinking that the rules they apply to their more expensive models filter down to their 'cheaper' ones. Case in point the FG2421 with truly atrocious quality control and the FS2333 and FS2334 which are decidedly average in that respect. The FS2735 will still be an interesting monitor of course, but don't be mislead into thinking it will be free from the sorts of issues that affect other models using that same AHVA panel.

PCM2, Simon.....guys...please find out if this monitor can backlight strobe and use freesync at the same time.

The manual mentions nothing about blur reduction being unavailable in freesync mode..

I would be extremely surprised if it could. ;) I'm sure one of us could receive a confirmation of that though.

I use a fs2333 mentioned above and find the colors ,response and brightness good. I calibrated it when I got it in 2013.for me its only limit is that it is 60mhz and 23" screen.so that is why for me the fs2735 looks like a natural progression.ive read all the comments about mg279q,pg279q and the acer version and cant justify spending £700.00 on a dud monitor. Earlier this year I went to see the launch of the gtx980ti and saw several pg278q tns running witcher 3 .the colors there seemed bleached out not full like my screen at all. so I think if I can get a good one again will be ips again.

That's great and all, but I've received plenty of feedback from users with the FS2333 who aren't satisfied. Some are good samples, some aren't. Exactly the same will apply to this model. And 60MHz for a monitor would certainly not be a 'limit', it would be ridiculous. ;)

Notice "MHz" instead of "hz"

1000 hz is equal to 1 kHz (remember analogs monitor and their horizontal scan range?).
And 1000 kHz = 1 mhz. CPU's run in mhz...so....

1000000 hz=1 mhz.
So a 60mhz monitor would be 60000000 hz.

Yeah baby....

ok I stand corrected but basically its a good 1080p monitor .as I said I waited for the pq279q to come out thinking it would be a viable upgrade and then felt very disappointed about the many issues listed by users .atm im using a msi gtx980 4g gaming and the way forward for gaming seemed to be 2560 x1440 x144 but to find a descent upgrade path seems atm a minfield.i am grateful for peeps replies because as a layman you always have to take on board comments to make buying decisions etc .ty

Apologies if this has been posted elsewhere and not sure how accurate this is but some details on the freesync range:

http://www.144hzmonitors.com/monitors/eizo-foris-fs2735-144hz-1440p-ips-gaming-monitor/

"The AMD FreeSync technology that this monitor supports, can be enabled with one of two available ranges. Either 56Hz-144Hz or 35Hz-90Hz has to be chosen, which should cover many players setups nicely."

So, allegedly looks like this monitor isn't capable of 35hz-144hz either. That's a shame if true.....

Well, yes I suppose there will be no stopping you to switch from the two different ranges on the fly, presumably through the monitors' OSD.

What would you do if your games' range is between say 40-100 though? Set to 35hz-90hz and enable vsync I guess, like the MG279Q owners? In which case, why not just get the MG279Q as I assume that would be cheaper?

Perhaps I'm being pedantic as this is the one freesync monitor that I would have definitely considered moving back to AMD for.

I just wish someone would GET this monitor already!
I want to know if blur reduction can be used with Freesync. STILL no mention or limitation on this written anywhere in the downloadable manual on Eizos' website :/

Found out it can strobe at all refresh rates, including 60 hz.
Don't know whether that's a double or single strobe.
Someone will need to do Crosstalk tests (because 144hz should have much more crosstalk than 90 hz).
Freesync can not be used at the same time as blur reduction.
