Electric Bike Conversion Kit or Electric Bike?

Yeh I know, I can charge at work, and I think any e bike should* be able yo do at least 30 miles, no?

I honestly wouldn't expect the Panasonic to get that much out.

So would you recommend me buy a normal hybrid bike no motor, at 13kg would that be the better option?

Even on my very light road bike I couldn't imagine a 26 mile round commute but I am old with arthritis all over.

So you wouldn't recommend the stealth for a 13mile commute one way?
I was thinking to just go ahead and order the woosh big bear since it boasts 40miles plus. but I thought maybe cyclotricity since you keep saying good things about them.

Don't believe a word the retailers tell you about range.

No we are saying the cheap ones are pointless.

The range is vastly overstated, they weigh a ton, their components are cheap and unreliable leading to many repairs.

A decent normal bike costs £800.

ask yourself, can you ride normal bike 36 miles to work daily? if no. then ebike wont fix the problem.

having a ebike doesnt means you can travel further. it makes the bike easier to......ride. thats the whole point of the ebike.

for 13 miles to work. no i would not have any ebike to travel that far purely cos it would take too long. i like to get to work quickly and back home quickly.

i sold my cycoltriclty stealth to a friend when i moved to different office which is too far to ride the ebike and any bike

The easier it is to ride the further you can travel... With the same effort on an ebike as a standard bike you go much faster.

i really dont know what is your problem mate? it seems you have a personal issue with another people having their own opinions.

Anywhere you can legally go on a bicycle you get go on a motorbike.
so you can use shared cycle paths that are on paths? bus lanes that are for buses and cyclists only?

most short cuts will be areas motorbikes aren't allowed like canal path and gravel pedestrian trails

What you have said makes no sense, that is not a personal issue lol.

Let's do a little maths here.

If you can cycle for 30mins on a normal bike at 10mph that's 5mi, if you now get an electric bike and cycle at 30mins at the same effort, now doing 20mph, the electric bike is allowing you to go twice as far for the same effort over the same amount of time. Do you understand now? It's not a matter of opinion, it's maths/physics.

Some people here don't know what they are taking about. Cycling for 45 mins to me is the norm. I wouldnt mind it. That's 13 miles at 15 to 20 mph on a cycle. On a normal cycle id be knackered at 10mph constant pedaling so it makes sense to get a ebike. But you ppl dont seem to know anything about ebikes? Of course it makes it easier and by making it easier it means u have more energy left to cycle FURTHER. Get it? I thought I came here for help clearly sme people here need help? Lol no offence.

errrr..... i ride normal bike up to about 18 mph. it just harder work.......

do you understand now?

my old office in same place whether i have a normal bike or ebike. so i dont travel further. before i had the ebike. i travlled around 18 mph. it make no quicker. but i arrived work less sweats

ebike just make the bike easier to.......ride.

Or you can get to your destination 5 miles away in 15 minutes :)
Mind you my quickest commute time is still on my road bike, the e-Bike can't get anywhere near the speed of that.
