some interesting scooter braking comparisons here from 15mph 165lb rider. ~10ft upwards. ... 16ft .....

https://electric-scooter.guide/comparisons/electric-scooter-performance-tests/

difference down to tyres ? or is there a big range of braking performance from the mechanicals (disk size/pads/hydaulics)...
maybe rear brake if available can do more on a scooter ...vs a bike since weight more, over, rear wheel.

but you don't get that braking range on a bicycle hydraulic or not, I'd say, from my (cantilever vs centre) bikes too
someone elses opinion https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kjmIBU-AgmQ
(Hadn't realised at 15mph a bike will outbrake a car it seems, just in dry?)

so watching a few videos, most seem to just have one brake, mostly on non-driven wheel ...

xiamo 365 pro- brake on rear, drive on front , which, doesn't match bike or sports car rwd for best handling... and,
with brake, just on rear, would not be real efficient with forward weight transfer under braking, either,
maybe with virtually no castor angle(wheels under steering) a brake at fron would be unstable / squirmy.

The driven wheel has regenerative breaking so both wheels do brake, the weight distribution is also very good over the front and rear wheels. Most of your weight is already over the rear wheel because of the riding position, just think how much of your weight goes through your heals and where they are on the scooter.

They stop just as quickly as a bike as shown in a video above but both tend to be limited by the tyres rather than the brakes.

Couldn't find any good videos (slaloms?) on escooter handling or the merits of having a single brake at front and rear wheels being driven (like a car)

but the fluidride ride ones appeal to me , since they have this car setup
https://fluidfreeride.com/products/...ic-scooter-for-commute?variant=19733559902277
let alone their 2 wheel drive + 2 brake machinesmonsters

hadn't realised how many there are on san fran streets though

can't see any bicycles, just these .... is everyone unfit ??

I can't help but look at the fools traveling slower in cars, creating more pollution and needing to find somewhere to park at the other end. Why wouldn't you use a escooter? Especially with such beautiful weather.

The guy in this video is riding like a complete tool. All over the road, in and out of pedestrian crossings, through red lights, speeding.

This is the kind of behaviour that gets e scooters banned, and pedestrians hurt.

Yup. Guys a total idiot. Even his responses to comments show that. Things like he like a going fast because it makes the slower scooter users jealous. What a dong.

I've never in 45 years of driving ever moaned about a cyclist but if I ever came across those bunch of locusts I'd be in road rage hell.
I must admit that scooter is very impressive but with all my Googling I can't find a price for it, that model isn't even on their site.
