Electric shavers

I got the 97 and threw away the cleaning station as there's no need, it's also extra faff and gunks up like the Braun one so needs maintenance. I charge via USB and clean the 97 over the sink with soap and then spray this on both blade and cassette:

Still shaves like a blade to this day after only 1 cassette replacement due to age of it since new. I'd get the 67 now knowing this if buying fresh.

What USB cable does it need to charge? I think I'll get the 67 when I can next be around for delivery.

Do you all do a dry shave or use some other product before an electric shave?

I use the Philips model seen below and have always used this style of shaver over the years.

Would I notice any difference changing to the Panasonic LV67? I do have quite sensitive skin mind.

I’ve never tried them foil cassette type shavers ever before just but this thread has me interested :)

daily apply some mineral oil on head&cutter before use with a q-tip - having left them apart previous day, after blowing debris out window.
don't use a station either wash the head & grill with soap/brush every 5 days or so.
(same mineral oil used for chopping block)

I came from a Philips Series 3000 (HQ7390/17) rotary shaver and it stored all the cut hair inside the head, which could be opened and tipped into the bin.

I just bought a Braun Series 7 foil shaver (72-C7650cc) and it seems to drop every bit of cut hair onto my top or the floor whilst I am shaving. Is this normal?

Yeah. Both my Series 7 & 9 do it and it's flipping annoying.

Have a braun series 9, I only use it to shave my neck under my beard these days but it does a decent job and doesnt give me any rash or anything. I think if im being honest I take very poor care of it though, should get better at that.

Also use a skull shaver pitbull to shave my head

I can't say I've noticed many issues with my Braun series 9 in terms of hairs falling on the floor. But under the foils there isnt much space to store hair so maybe yours is clogged up.

Maybe try doing a wet shave instead, or just wet the foils or your face slightly and that way hairs are less likely to fall down.

I came from a Philips Series 5000 to the Braun Series 9 and overall I've found the Braun to shave better for me - the hairs under my neck grow in multiple directions and I used to find with the Philips I had to shave the same spots multiple times from different angles to get all the hairs and this caused rashes, where as the Braun seems to do a much better job at getting all the hairs in one pass for me.

I also got a great deal on the Braun Series 9, it was on boxing day a few years ago now and they had Braun shavers on a 50% discount and these days I've seen the MSRP for the Series 9 is more than double what I paid. I'll be keeping it for as long as it works, just replacing the foils.

The only thing I don't like about the Braun Series 9 is the cleaning station - after inserting a new cartridges into the machine, the fluid is exposed to atmosphere inside and because of the high alcohol content it evaporates super fast and I would find that the fluid had completely evaporated after just a couple uses because I would not shave too often. So now I only use the cleaning station as a charging dock.

I only bought it yesterday.

And I buy electric shavers for convenience. Definitely not wet shaving with one :p
