This may be wierd, and it happens a lot..

I get zapped (at differing intensities) by the fridge, washing machine, toaster, tumble dryer.. The worst is if i touch the outside of the fridge, thats pretty bad like rappid pulses of shocks up my hand.. It happens frequently but not always. The toaster is wierd, because I get it when im pulling toast out when its done..

Does this happen to anyone else or am I just a freak? :( It doesnt happen to anyone else in the house, just to me :(

I used to get Zapped every time I closed my car door :(

Hurt as well! Turned out to be my shoes on the mat on the floor while changing gears etc

This happens to me as well.I also get and give shocks to other people. Its just like the spark off an electric lighter.Gets really serious some days.Worst bit is if i touch my bed posts before I get into bed on a night.Big shock!!

Come to think of it, I used to get zapped by my car EVERY time aswell, until one day I decided that my mat was crap and got rid of it... never happened since but that only just occurred to me now :D

Stop wearing those nylon knickers ;)

Anyway...
Seriously mate, if you are getting shocks of several of your mains appliances, you could have a partial short to earth. If you had a full short to earth it would blow a fuse or pop an RCD.
With partial shorting you could have some arcing going on somewhere which involves a risk of fire. Please get it checked out.
From your description, it sounds very unlikely it's anything to do with static.
