Electronically shielding a microwave

Erm, isnt microwaves escaping a microwave a very bad thing? Usually if a microwave is interfering with other equipment (TV etc...) its a sign you need a new microwave.

This is true. The Faraday cage within the microwave itself may be malfuncitoning, but as research has shown even exposed to an open running (overridden) microwave for 10 minutes body blood temperature only went up by 0.0000001 of a degree....

So not that worrying

It's quite a new microwave so I don't think it's broken.
