Emergency - got a puncture

As the others have said:

Car on ground, in gear and with the handbrake on.
Stand on the bar and try bouncing it.
Failing that it's either find a bit of scaffold or use a proper breaker bar.

Overclockers uk, for all your motoring needs, no job too small :)
If he posts up his location I bet that someone lives/works nearby!

Nuts tightened by impact wrench = fail. Nearly put my back out last time I had to undo some of them, and that was using a cross brace :/

I got a telescopic socket from Halfords which I keep in the boot now - does a good job even when they've been over torqued.

These are good, especially for cracking the nuts. And pretty cheap as well. I also have a cross-brace which it better for undoiing and doing up imo

Maybe I'm being silly but why are you trying to lift the wheel? surely lifting the bar is counterproductive as the wheel then comes off the ground and you're not being helped by the friction of the tyre on the ground. Can't you just flip it so that you're pushing down rather than pulling up? Or rotate the wheel 180 degrees? Then you can jump on it as mentioned and get a lot more force...

1/16th of a turn tightening them first to 'break' the threads, it doesn't break them but you'll hear an almighty crack, then loosen away!

Went back on Saturday morning with a bit of pipe and there was indeed an almighty crack as all of the nuts came loose first attempt. Bit of pipe now lives in the boot with the spare :D
