Frankly I'm not much bothered whether they do or don't, I'd just prefer if they made a decision and stuck to it. I can't say that I'm on the edge of my seat nervously awaiting his retirement, it's more of a case of finding it dull that they keep threatening it and not doing it.

//edit the YouTube link didn't work but OnSmash did and it's a pretty rubbish new release, certainly not worth coming out of retirement if that is the best he's got to offer. Namechecking lots of current celebrities in a song has never struck me as a particularly good idea for a track as it is likely to date very very quickly indeed.

Totally agreed. Becomming obviously pop isn't a good thing.
 
Eminem does this with every album... he always releases one of the cheesy pop songs as a single... we won't know until the rest of the album is out whether the 'proper' songs are any good!

I have high hopes with Dr.Dre producing all but 2 tracks.
 
Yeah remember with 'The Marshal Mathers LP' he did 'The Real Slim Shady' and everyone thought "here we go, gone pop" but then the album turned out to be very dark

Same with 'The Slim Shady LP', he started with "Hi! My Name Is", then the rest of the album couldn't have been more different

So I'm still looking forward to his album despite a slightly poppy start. Still think it's a good song though
