It touches on the multiplayer campaign and from some of the answers it looks like they are planning a full on grand campaign for multiplayer and not just a versus one as stated before.

Sounds good, my mate and I will have a "peace treaty" and co-op against the AI nations (assuming that no co-op option is available)

I really hope the full grand campaign happens in multiplayer, as said before, setting up an alliance with your mate would be cool. Hopefully they'll have the option to either "simulate" the battles that you fight against the AI on your own, to allow shorter campaigns, and maybe an option for full battles for the longer stint over many months!

This is already in. You can even take over as the AI against you're mate if you wish and vice versa of course.
