I think it's because the policy-makers want people to use English in the OcUK forums.
Personally I find it irritating and it annoys me when I see people do it. On another forums I frequent, its a suspend/bannable offence and I think that's a marvelous idea. It's just a waste of space and pads out threads unnecessarily.

Personally i like knowing that other members feel/think/agree with what i say. There is also the confirmation of advice by seeing numerous Agree type posts on a question asked. If 3 people on here that i know Quote/Agree on something i am happy to listen/take that advice/learn more about the subject etc.
It was banned yonks ago after a spate of threads where people did nothing but quote for truth.They would only end up with a handful of people posting, don't you think?
What's wrong with an initialisation anyway? You just used "OcUK" instead of "Overclockers UK" - In what way, pray tell is my usage of "Q.F.T." in place of "Quoted For Truth" not English?
It's no more breaking the rules of grammar than your contraction apostrophe in "it's".
