Am a little confused by the airplane mission as you save the hostages from the terroists and then jump out of the plane to simply leave them in an exploding plane - doubt they'd be grateful.

Your only there to save one guy, and he jumps out with you.

Same here that and the bit when the nuke went off i was on edge of seat waiting to see what happened then sunk in how they draw you into the character and i actually felt sad lol.

Truly awesome game.

Best part by far was Chynoble level, where you had to pull of that shot quickly and take into account wind speed and direction.

Made me feel like a real soldier

I didnt even think about it, quickly aimed and shot in one go. BANG dead lol

its really moving when the american soldier dies, it keeps you in hopes of survival when u are alive and everything is destroyed, and u get out the heli and then die, quite a sad moment.

very much enjoyed this game, a few annoying missions but altogether tied up very well, and im very much looking forward to cod5

I hated playing with the rentanamerican.com side and was really glad to see that part over. Captain Price was the only one for me and I hope he survives for a sequel, the other characters were far too generic imo.

Absolutely loved the game though. Like everyone said, couldn't believe it when Jackson died, kept playing the next levels thinking 'ok so the next one will be a Marine mission...'

The ending really got me as well. I think I was just wailing at the screen at one point.

Billy Murray and Craig Fairbrass were great voices to have as the sas as well i might add.

Billy Murray! i knew i recognised that voice from The Bill but couldnt place it . Apart from the spawning issues i was gripped throughout, really is one hell of a gaming experience.
The intro where your in the shoes of the guy executed is superbly chilling, Jacksons demise and the ending were great as well, after the death Jacksons death i wasnt even sure Soap would survive, then your thrown the pistol! truly a great game.

What I didn't get was your main team mates could eat grenades, take RPG's to the face, have shotguns fired in their meat and two veg, yet get one bullet and die at the end.

Only that and the endless silly amount of re-spawning enemies was the only thing that bothered me through the game.

I completed this game yesterday and loved every second.

The game itself is so immersive, your find yourself emotionally and mentally attached to the storyline and the characters. The graphics along with those, made the game itself a jaw droppingly cinematic experiance. As said in above posts the NUKE aftermath level and the ending of the game really left me empty, as if id actually lost a friend. Outstanding, ive never had a game give me such satisfaction !

Overall i think its possibly the best game ive playing in years, its going to take a complete masterpeice to beat this, and i know crysis isnt going to come close.

An easy 10/10 from me. Im just gutted its over.

Before Reading This Realise Ive JUST Completed the Game!!

Im glad I CoD4 now. I played the demo and was really gutted to how average it was. But after reading reviews of the full game and getting 90%+ I decided to get it.

...

And im so happy I did, some absolutly incredible ideas going on that could have only been thought of in a CoD game .

SAS sneeky missions. Awesome!
Sniper sneeky missions. Awesome!
The big ass sniping the arm off that guy mission. Awesome!
The ending...Gutting but...You got it...Awesome!
End mission. Awesome!

Ye pretty good game all in all. Accutally left me wanting more. Sadly only took me 3 days to complete but, hey, thats life.

The only regret I have is that I shot the end guy in the head first , I wish I took out the two soilders and waited to see him looking down the barrel of my gun...THE No Swearing!!!

Nope on my screen the second soldier was directly behind the him so took the left soldier shot him he went down then shot the second soldier when i could see him
