frames black, I picked up some red ASA from ooozenest which is printing real nice.

I really like sunlu new abs. Highly recommended

can't really do ABS on the ender5 needs heated enclosure. ASA is a lot more forgiving.

i think both print the same..
i would say ASA is more prone to warping

I picked up a sample of ABS and ASA, the ASA printed fine but the ABS split on the layers and warped quite badly.

in other news, I've picked up a dragonfly BMS hotend to go on the E34M1 toolhead.
it's pretty.

I always planned to do this upgrade to mine but due to a variety of issues this year have not got round to it.

the octopus pro is cheap really, the drivers can cost as much as the board.

that is why its cheap no drivers
don't think you needed all TMC2240
i would go with cheaper 2209 for Z

lol I lost a flanged bearing and had to order replacements. they arrived yesterday but for some reason I'm not allowed to spend today taking the ender apart and building the mercury! I'm going to try and do some tomorrow.
