Energy Suppliers

Should i be locking in today then if there is some announcement tomorrow?
My current variable is 29.48 per day & 22.31 kwh

So Energy have a 1 year fix @ 24.86 per day & 31.49 kwh
SEE have a 3 year fix @ 44.52 per day & 33.23 kwh

Is anyone locking in for longer than a year?

Well the next fix is the same as the lock so no I wouldn’t bother unless you think prices are gonna go up more. Which may be possible but locking in for 3 yrs feels a bit of a risk if prices do drop

companies already know the rise is coming so don’t think you are beating them to anything

What are the exit Fees?
I'm on a 3 year fix with Scottish Power with no exit fees.

The first one looks tempting.
My 3 year fix is only a bit less than that

We've opted for a 2 year fix with SO Energy, but if something gets announced today which means i'm better staying off a fix i'll cancel the switch.

Get the lube and lightbulbs ready guys, its E-day

Im fixed until 22 sept on 23.19 day, 11.96 night , 17p sc for elec and the parents are fixed until 8 august on 17.62kwh and 21.08 sc for elec and 3.104kwh 23.768 sc gas. Already warned them months ago that their renewal will be a huge jump so they are already putting extra aside for it.

Lube up for this then interest rate rise.

I should be OK. fixed at 21p elec and 5.1p gas until September 2024.

If things don't settle Down mid term.. . Country is going to be in a state.

I have no confidence of energy prices returning to the good Ol days

A vat cut would be great.

My fix with British Gas ends at the end of Feb (great timing...). 16p elec and 3p gas was very nice while it lasted...

The fix they have offered me seems silly even compared with what the new variable rates will be from April so I guess I'll just stick with the price cap amount and hope prices fall/ some cheaper fixed deals come back during the year.

If gas prices do fall more, energy companies will be competing for business again so fingers crossed there might be some deals.

As expected then. A shade under 2k.

Its a fairly predictable thing. So predictions were always going to be on the mark

Guess my solar/battery install will have paid for itself in 5-6 years.

Feel bad for those who struggle on prepayment meters, I've been there and it wasn't fun.

54% increase, I mean we knew it was coming but holy **** :(

Government rubbing their hands after taking their 5% cut.
