I've just bought an Enermax Galaxy 1000W and have a problem in that my system refuses to boot up.
The diagnostic LED is orange when in stand-by and turns green when I switch the system on, no beeps or flashing etc from the internal alarm or LED. The power supply seems to power up ok, the fan spins etc.
Everything else in the system powers on e.g. fans, hard drives, dvd drives etc but the system does not. The standby LED on the motherboard lights up to indicate power (it's an Asus A8R32MVP) but it still doesn't power on. Incidentally I have Corsair TwinX Pro RAM with the LEDs on the top which always come on about 2 or 3 seconds before the system starts to POST but even the LEDs on the RAM fail to light up when I try to power on.
I've tried another power supply by simply connecting the motherboard 24-pin ATX header and the CPU 4-pin 12V plug and all is ok. I tried the same with the Enermax but nothing.
Can anyone shed any light on this as I don't really want to RMA it as it weighs an absolute ton!!
