Could someone please explain to me exactly why it is that tomorrow's England game isn't on either BBC1 or ITV?

Here I was, looking forward to the game only to discover that Sky have the rights to the match and I won't be able to watch it. Club football I can understand, but your own national team? Takes the **** if you ask me.

Just go to the pub to watch it or watch the highlights. Its a choice if you want pay for sky sports or not.

Annoying for those who don't have it I agree but it is , still a choice

When was the last time England weren't on "normal" telly?

It wasn't that long back iirc, probably a WC qualifier I'd imagine, don't remember exactly when it was just that I was ****** off then too.

It's not a choice to me, I can't afford to pay for Sky Sports full stop.

I just think that the only criteria that should need to be met if you want to watch your own country play footy on the telly is that you actually own a telly, i.e. it should be freely available to everyone, regardless of bank balance.

I thought the BBC / ITV had all the World Cup qualifiers ?

Same with pointless friendly games.

Same for me last week. Usually, Northern Ireland matches are shown on BBC2 over here, but think it was Sky Sports 3 that had it.

Just watch it on t'internet instead

So is it because the game is away that Sky have those or that its a mid week game?

Its very frustrating i wish we were just able to purchase teh sky sports package and nothing else.

If the games are on Sky Sports 1/2 then you can get them via BT.

Sky do a Sport package do they not?

There is always the t'interwebz.

It's because it's an away qualifier game.

Have a look at BT Vision/TopUpTV. They only do Sky Sports 1/Sky Sports 2/ESPN, but you can get the channels individually without signing up to anything else.
