England match not on terrestrial TV again?

Only good thing is - being on Sky it saves money compared to when Setanta had the rights some years back.

Have to lol @ Ofcom, refusing to allow sky rights to all football to 'spread it around' and allow more people to view it, but when in reality most of the time it just forces people to pay more to sub to the various channels it all ends up scattered around on. ie: Setanta / ESPN.

Agreed - the Ofcom ruling would work better if it allowed some live football to remain on terrestrial.

It'd work better at the end of the day if Sky were cheaper - then people could afford to pay for e.g. Setanta or ESPN. The trouble is of course Sky don't have a football channel. When you pay for Sky Sports you get a whole load of 'wrestling' and domestic cricket too.

What's the problem? If you don't have SS then find a stream. Lot's out there.

Email in trust if you need links.

But I guess it's not allowed here.

A nice tip is to find someone you know who has a Sky Sports subscription but who isn't tech savvy (I used my father :D ), 'borrow' their Sky Card and create a Sky Player ID. You can then stream whatever TV packages that person has live from the Sky website. I think you can only create one account for free in this manner, so it's only a good tip if the person whose card you borrow hasn't already created a Sky Player ID. Creating a second Sky Player ID adds a fee to the monthly subscription, but creating another ID is probably a lot cheaper than getting a fresh subscription of your own.

I do this, and if you have a fast connection, the high quality stream is very good indeed.

Sky don't mind it either as well. It's one SkyPlayer account per normal Sky Sports subscription.

The quality's excellent for a stream, however the player itself is a bit buggy. Plus it often messes up the account's machines as well, I've had to join their forums to get mine reset more than once. It's also got a large lag, on average about 4 minutes.

Are there even any highlights on terrestrial TV tonight?
I'm looking on the Radio Times site, but can't see anything.

Just looking at the TV guides myself and it does in fact appear that we're not even going to get the highlights.

Radio5Live for me then :(
