It’s just horrible timing. After the hectic finish we’ve had without a break and there’s two games a few days before the start of the new season. I wouldn’t mind all my teams players being pulled out of international duty, so it does seem to be club before country.

He does dive a lot and constantly complains to refs, I don't actually see what all the fuss is about as he's just a bit better than average.

Eurgh, a CB and a CDM are not in the squad at the expense of Grealish. Obviously Southgate thinks there are better attacking options and has picked them.

no im saying him joining a bigger team does not put him in the squad

Kane. Kane. Always the same. Gets you almost there then goes missing when it counts. He's not a bad player, I just haven't forgiven him or Southgate for Russia. Southgate had no plan B when he could have built a tactical system around Vardy for the Croatia match based on Kane's slump in the previous match. Old defence, misfiring lethargic Kane but with Vardy and Sterling available for a two-pronged pace attack. Nice one again Gareth. No wonder Vardy quit the squad. He could see Southgate was all talk, but just wanted to carry on the usual pattern of favourites over form.

If you're playing 433 then I wouldn't say Mount is a cm? I know he's dabbled in that position, especially at Derby, but he plays a way more attacking role now at Chelsea.
