England V India ***Clash of the Heavyweights*** Test, T20 and ODI Series

Why we can't get Raina and Dhoni out now I don't know but our bowling was pretty terrible today.

I think the whitewash is off now :(

England doesn't have a good ODI bowling attack I'm afraid. Raina and Dhoni are seasoned pros at what they do. That's what people don't realise, and the reason people don't realise is because in general these guys have performed awfully on this tour.

This match isn't over yet though. I always dread it when Bell and Trott are batting together.

I find this entire ODI series really pointless. It is India's 2nd XI vs England, a team well known for not being particularly strong in shorter forms of the game without 2 of their best One-day batsmen(Pietersen and Morgan).

Back to my earlier point about Indian fans. I can understand being happy with a boundary and making some noise, but the whole screaming and shouting thing gets on my nerves..

I don't think English fans are perfect either, Boo'ing is disgraceful however TC if you are referring to the incident involving the Bell run-out then they had a bit more reasoning(I'm not saying it is right, but more forgiveable) to do it than say the Indian fans when a fielder stops the ball.

However, the England fans were showing genuine disdain for the Indian team when they did it. The Indian fans booing a fielder is a bit more of jest, I'm not saying that justifies it.

And why shouldn't they go mad when their favourite players score runs? Not everyone has to simply sit there and politely applaud a good shot.

Covers are going back off and the Indians are trying to hide, not in the spirit of the game is it?

I hate this spirit of the game nonsense. It was called for Ian Bell, and the phrase is used a lot, but there's so many instances where the spirit of the game should be applied, but it isn't.

Think of dismissals this series. When Morgan got out at Lord's. He thought he edged it, so he walked. That was in the 'spirit of the game'.

What about when Harbhajan inside edged it and was given out lbw? The England team would have seen on sky sports that it wasn't out, but did they recall him? No.

What about when it hit Dravid's shoelace? Did they decide to recall him? No.

The Indians rushed into the pavillion because they thought it was raining. That's why they were there. That's not against the spirit of the game.

England have done nothing to return the favour that India gave them. It WAS a favour, I refuse to accept that it was anything else, and therefore I feel England owes India in that respect.

Now the England batsmen have run off into the changing rooms. Are you going to tell me that's against the spirit of the game? No, they're going in because it's raining.

EDIT: Beaten by Egon lol

Yes okay it was raining yet they stayed outside when it was raining HARDER and all the covers were coming on, they weren't going in for shelter they wanted to win any way they could.

Lets think about the Bell thing, the rules say you can only be run out when attempting a run, he was walking off for tea, so it was best that the appeal was reversed. Harbhajan would have been able to appeal but ohh wait, the Indians didn't want DRS to be used for LBW's. So you shot yourselves in the foot. And what you expect them to call him back when they looked at Sky, which was at the end of their innings? I don't believe that is possible.

Dravid is a muppet, he could have reviewed it but didn't, you can't relate that dismissal to the Bell one.

It was not a ******* favour! The rules state you have to be attempting a run to be given run out, he wasn't so India did the right thing. I'm fairly sure you can't recall somebody after the innings has finished so Harbhajan couldn't be recalled and Dravid should have realised he didn't hit and could have appealed so can only blame himself...

'Attempting a run' is a completely subjective thing. For all we know, he could have been attempting a run. The ball wasn't dead, Morgan signalled to him to get back into his crease. Therefore India had every right to appeal and take the wicket. They don't look at sky at the end of their innings, they have it right next to them in their camp. I remember at the oval, Andy Flower signalled to Bopara to stay there, I turned round and all the England staff were looking at the tv to check on Sky Sport's whether he was out first.

Fair enough about the Dravid decision.

The players will obviously be reluctant to come off the pitch if all the momentum is their way, that's natural. That's why the England batsmen rushed off. I wouldn't have expected anything else to be honest. It's not against the spirit of cricket to do that.

That has put another downer on my day :(

India's now playing amazing cricket, but still not winning. What are my tears worth, for what must I sacrifice the honour of being an Indian cricket fan?

Don't quite understand how 270 was the par score to be honest. England had Finn and Anderson about to bat, and they needed 11 off 7. I'd most certainly say advantage India.

Commiserations to TC dude...seriously this has been one absolutely atrocious tour for India, it really has....feel bad for you fella as India are a much better squad than what is out there now at the moment.

Thanks bud. The main thing I've done this summer is hold my head in my hands and cry. I have no idea how it ended up this way, I really don't. :(

Why Zaheer, why?

ODI Team of the year announced:

MS Dhoni (capt & wk), Tillakaratne Dilshan, Virender Sehwag, Kumar Sangakkara, AB de Villiers, Shane Watson, Yuvraj Singh, Graeme Swann, Umar Gul, Dale Steyn, Zaheer Khan, 12th Man - Lasith Malinga

Yeh against lowly Zimbabwe lol...the other day we beat them by 5 runs...our problem is we take the rubbish teams too lightly and take the better teams even more lightly lol.

At least you're winning matches!

If India were playing amazing cricket then they would be winning! Sure, the weather has played its part but India are still pretty average.

If you are crying over cricket then I suggest you need to get a grip on things!

But cricket is my life bro!

They have been awful in the test series, but I think India's been the better team in the ODIs to be honest.

Official excuse is that the BCCI were told "too late" that the event was being held on that time/date, so they told the players it was a free day and they respect their players too much to force them to change evening plans.

Great excuse, but there wasn't even a BCCI representative present, so no excuse for that.

It's bull****

The BCCI would have known months in advance. I find it hard to believe that not one person was there to represent Indian cricket, because they were told 'too late'
