The only worry is Jones' batting, his keeping has come on leaps and bounds but his average is now lower than Chris Reid's I believe and the whole point of him replacing reid was down to his better batting.
Jones has been dropped for Friday's Test & Read comes in. It had to happen I guess:/

Edit: Definitely dropped due to his poor batting too, nowt to do with his finger injury.

mahmood is pretty ordinary......... shows a lack of depth in your bowling ranks...

glad that Monty has cemented his place in the lineup, time for Giles to have a full hip replacement and move into a nursing home...... i've never liked that guy.....
Mahmood isn't bad, but wouldn't be playing if it wasn't for injuries to Flintoff & Jones so it's nothing to do with a lack of depth.
Talking of which, there's no depth in your bowling line-up beneath Warne & McGrath who are both 3yrs older than Giles, so maybe it's time they moved into a nursing home? Oh no, you can't do that because without them you haven't got an attack...

The problem is that none of those are openers - in that regard Tresco and Strauss are doing just fine - a lot of the recent success of our middle order is that its very rare nowadays for them to find them selves having to bat at 11.10 on the first day of a test, as used to be the case before.
Cook is an opener:)
I don't think any batters will get dropped when Freddie is fit, he'll just take Mahmood's place.

If we can get at Khan & Yousuf when the ball is still new I think we've got a great chance, if they get through to lunch with no loss or only 1 down I think we'll lose.
The pitch really seems to be cracking up this morning too:)

Edit: Blimey, Monty's taking the new ball

Edit2: Bah, he was only on to switch ends...
