England v Pakistan **spoilers**

Excellent stuff, I really thought Pakistan had a chance this morning but we were just too good for them when the pressure was on:)
Gotta feel for all those Pakistan fans who travelled all the way over here just for the match;)

You're batting was incredible 1st innings (better than ours), your bowling was very good all round really, much better than the previous 2 matches and you had a few decisions go against you. I won't comment on the fielding but Akmal dropped more than KP used too;)
I think you lost the game due to bottling it (for want of a better term) under pressure on the last day, they didn't look up for the fight, same thing happened at Old Trafford when Harmy was bouncing about.:)

Edit: Saj was born int Bolton;)

Harmison in particular has been woeful, Holding really tore in to him earlier too saying he's been average at best for @18 months, can't argue with that really, the only time he's got wickets was at OT on a fast bouncy one :(

Crazy situation!
I can understand them being aggrieved at being accused of ball tampering but refusing to continue the game is just a childish way of protesting.
Darrel Hair loves a bit of controversy;)

KP's sixes were after they changed the ball (against the lad who got him out too I think), which oddly didn't spin as much as the original so he had the confidence to do it.
The PCB head reckons they said they were only going to stay indoors for a few minutes then go out & play. I'd imagine even if that was the case they still breached rules :/

It is a shame for Inzi as he really seems like a nice likeable bloke, all the young Pakistani players seem to look up to him too.
I can't help feeling that he's had some bad advice over this, that PCB chairman really seems full of hot air & I'm sure he's bent a few facts in his statements :/

All this stuff about Hair being the bad guy is just rubbish. He acted within the rules, they didn't & thats why the game was forfeited. He obviously thought they altered the condition of the ball in some way & acted accordingly.
Also why aren't they kicking up a fuss about Doctrove too?
SA have said that if Pak. don't fulfill the one dayers they'd love, too as they've recently called off a tour to SL due to security issues:)

Letter from Hair says:

He's prepared to retire, stand down or relinquish his position as it will cause the ICC embarrassment if he carries on, but they must deposit $500K in his account without telling anyone & just saying he's retired as a lifestyle change.
He says it's a one off non-negotiable offer.

The way it's worded I don't think they can sack him, but there's no way he can continue, so he's shot himself in the foot.

Psycho Ned said:
The PCB will surely use this against any decision that may be made against them.
They've already used it before any disciplinary decision:

"This makes a strong case for us to be cleared," team manager Zaheer Abbas told the BBC Asian Network
"This also proves our protest on the fourth day of the final Test was legitimate," he said.

"This is a moral victory for us, and it's good that now this issue can reach its conclusion"
Unfortunately some will fall for that, maybe the public & media but not the ICC as Malcolm Speed has pretty much said that he thought Hair was trying to find a solution that was best for the game.

We really are a long way behind the major teams when it comes to any shortened version of the game it seems, fair enough in the 50 over games as most teams have played more than us but we invented the 20/20 version for Gods sake  :(
Broad looked promising though.
Gough showed some of his old enthusiasm, I hope he gets a crack in the OD's coming up, I think he's still got something to offer:)
