It did have to happen I suppose, but it's pretty damn annoying for us Kent supporters, although he'll help us now, even though O'Brien has done pretty well.
 
mahmood is pretty ordinary......... shows a lack of depth in your bowling ranks...


glad that Monty has cemented his place in the lineup, time for Giles to have a full hip replacement and move into a nursing home...... i've never liked that guy.....


as an Aussie I look forward to the Ashes safe in the knowledge that the treasured little urn will be ours once more..... don't get me wrong, the last series was brilliant and you deserved to win, but you know we'll turn you over at home..........

You're probably right, we will lose the ashes this winter unless something extraordinary happens. I still think it will be quite close though. Anyway back to the current series eh? ;)

Mahmood isn't bad, but wouldn't be playing if it wasn't for injuries to Flintoff & Jones so it's nothing to do with a lack of depth.
Talking of which, there's no depth in your bowling line-up beneath Warne & McGrath who are both 3yrs older than Giles, so maybe it's time they moved into a nursing home? Oh no, you can't do that because without them you haven't got an attack...
 
Been having a poor run with the bat this series and what with Flintoff needing to be put back in the team for the Ashes and Cook, Strauss, Collingwood, Bell all getting centuries and Pietersen is undroppable you have to wonder if they would keep Tresco in the team if he doesnt get a big score in the next 3 innings.

Especially after his dodgy disappearing act from the last overseas tour.

The problem is that none of those are openers - in that regard Tresco and Strauss are doing just fine - a lot of the recent success of our middle order is that its very rare nowadays for them to find them selves having to bat at 11.10 on the first day of a test, as used to be the case before.

I don't think any batters will get dropped when Freddie is fit, he'll just take Mahmood's place.
 
Pietersen went just as he was starting to really windup, finally goes for 135 great innings. Just a shame he couldn't hang around a little longer, would have loved him to get a double century, it was only him who could get himself out, the bowling wasn't troubling him at all. Great to see Bell get another century, he's having a phenomenal run and I expect he's cemented himself in the team now, the middle order is really firing at the moment :)
 
haha theres some cracking entertainment on atm Harmison and Mahmood just letting rip.

Harmison scored 2 sixes in a row and their current partnership is 40 runs of 26 balls :D got England up to 485-8
