England vs Spain

Kyle Walker is great going forward but has a bit to learn in terms of defending, which will come with more expereince. If it wasn't for his exceptional pace he would have been caught out quite a bit for Spurs. Is anyone faster full tilt in the prem then Kyle at the moment? Lennon is faster over 10 yeards but full pelt he has to be up there with Theo.

Agbonlahor or Bale?

We are certainly blessed for pace in the England team with players like Richards, Walker, Walcott, Lennon, Agbon, Young, Cole, Welbeck, Sturridge, Bent, A.Johnson and G.Johnson.

The teams that win the Prem/champ league/euro's/world cup tend to do so through attacking football and going for it. Would rather go out 1st round/group stage than grind out draws and 1-0's personally

Funny you should say that because if you look at the last World Cup Spain NEVER scored more than a single goal in any of the knockout games. Euro 2008 not much better, 0-0 vs Italy and scraped through on pens, 1-0 against Germany in the final.

Heck look at Euro 2004, the winners Greece could hardly be described as playing 'attacking football and going for it', again looking at their results once again they failed to score more than a single goal in any of their knockout games.

So basically recent history shows that grinding out the 1-0s can actually be extremely succesful in terms of winning international tournaments.

Excuse the pic quality as it’s only my phone.

What we were treated to yesterday is EXACTLY the same performance that stoke do when we play anyone who is even slightly better than us. Sit back 10 men behind the ball and try to score from a set piece.

When stoke do it we are a disgrace to football (apparently)? England can play hoofball and its a good peromance?

Really??

England did most definitely not play the same way as Stoke do week in week out. First of all, England didn't play hoofball. Sure, in the first half there were a couple of long balls but the rest of them were clearences to relieve pressure. I recall a few of these from Jagielka.

The second half, we played the ball on the ground and put together some decent passing.

Stoke go about their work in completely different way. Did England take long throws from every throw in in the attacking half? No. Did England bombard Bent with long balls for 90 minutes? No. Did England put out their tallest players to play hoofball with? No.

If they really wanted to play like Stoke, they'd have stuck Carroll and Crouch upfront and spammed him all game. Which didn't happen.
