English & European Football [24th - 29th Apr 2010] **spoilers**

And it seemed so close to us having 2 all English finals, and in the end it was only Fulham of the four English teams who made it to a final, wonder what odds you could have got on that at the start of the season. My poor all English finals :(

At least i can now watch some European football and actualy support the English side!

Maybe i can talk on behalf of fans from other teams outside the top 4 of the premier league but i find it IMPOSSIBLE to want chelsea , arsenal , man u or liverpool to win when they are playing in Europe

Six English teams. Liverpool, Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea, Fulham, Everton.

Great win and good luck in the final Fulham.

As for us, toothless upfront without Torres yet again. Kuyt was absolutely shocking and I hope Benitez takes him to Juventus with him.

Hats off to Fulham, played an excellent European Campaign. Thoroughly deserver their place in the final. Well done indeed

Agreed, what an awesome awesome job Hodgson has done at Fulham with hardly any funds to spend...well he has but not to the extent that Utd, Chelski, City et al have had.

Hope they win the final as that would be the icing on the cake for them.

Unlucky Liverspuds:p

I, on the other hand, always want the English team to win, whether its Liverpool, tottenham, Fulham or stoke.

God Liverpool have some crap players, who on earth is El Zhar?? Atletico should have won 4-1 tbh, if Simao wasn't crap and selfish he would have squared it for Aguero and if Aguero wasn't selfish he would have squared it right at the end.

They needed a goal and brought on Degen before Pachecho?!?!? God his confidence must be sky high.

Chelsea are going to **** Liverpool though :(

I was referring to the four English teams who were close to making the 2 all English finals, hence my so close comment

In that case it would be three or five, depending on what you consider "close", as Man Utd and Arsenal both went out at the quarters. Anyway, not really a big deal :D

Ah well. COME ON FULHAM!

I would say 4 , right at the point when the draw was made where all the remaining English teams where drawn avoiding each other, enabling the 2 finals chance

Didn't realise until after the goal that away goals counted in extra time! Is a crap ruling and it should become a level playing field if teams can't be seperated after 180 mins imo. Anyways, sums up our season I suppose. I'll just have to take consolation that I'm off in the morning to get hammered on a stag weekend. Roll on next season.
