English League Cup Third Round 21-22 September **Spoilers**

The officials deserve carrots up their arses. Rough sand paper like carrots.

Spurs should have been booked a good few times more than that. We could have had a penalty. Gibbs wasn't even level - he was BEHIND the Spurs player.

The possession's nice, but there still little in the final third. We need a second possibly third goal to end this tie after dominating almost akin to how Barca were against us at the Emirates last year.

But more positively - just how awesome was Wilshere in that half. Fantastic performance from the lad after being not so good against Sunderland. Good to see Djourou getting a few meaty challenges in there as well.

Nasri's looked a bit off as well though. Again.

Pretty damn poor first half from Spurs, I can see Livermore going off for either Hudd, Jenas or Kranjcar to try and inject some attaching intent. Hutton will probably come on for Naughton now he has been booked too.

Will be very embarrassing for Spurs if they lose this game

Why:confused: 9 of our players are youth players that would only ever get a run about for the 1st team in a pre-season friendly.

Pretty clear that we don't really want the extra games this season. I don't really want to worry bout the Carling Cup this year.

Gotta lol at how biased Alan Smith is though.

Nice possession football, but not actually massively incisive, so I'm not sure why everyone's creaming themselves on here. When it came to actually getting the ball into the box we weren't managing it.

Mustn't forget it's still only 1-0. Need at least another goal before we can think this even near over.

But the commentators said that, Wiltshere, Nasri, Eboue, Rosisky, Denilson and Vela are all 1st team players, whether it be starting 11 or subs.

Ours are only, BAE, Pav and Palacios. Even then, Pav and Palacios dont play that often.

I think that Hutton is by far our best RB and he showed that at the weekend. I would like to see him play just to get his fitness up. As i said, i don't really think that we want to be in the CC (but we obv don't want to lose to Arsenal). So as long as we aren't beaten too badly, i'll be contented.

Gio off and Keane on. Shocking decision!

I'm sure you could say Bentley and Bassong were both 1st team players, but they are obviously not first choice players.

Neither team cares about this competition, the strong benches are there to make sure embarrassment isn't too severe. :p

Terrible refereeing in places, as you say Spurs should have picked up at least a couple extra yellows, the Gibbs run was timed to perfection and what a ball from Wilshere, inch perfect yet the linesman ballsed up the call and flagged it for offside. Watching the replay he only flagged for offside after all the protests from the Spurs players, so maybe favouring the home side a bit there to keep the supporters off his back. Still we should be 2-0 up and if that penalty (it was a penalty) was given then we could easily be sitting here 3-0 at half time. I don't know who we've got on the bench but hopefully we've someone a little bigger we can put up front, I'd like to see JET at some point, Nasri looks to be not as effective as usual, probably due to his position, playing as the left most player of a front three.

Still, very impressive passing from Arsenal, looks like Lennon and Keane will be coming on soon, like I say I'd like to see some changes in the second half at some point, we need to take advantage of the possession.

Lennon on vs Gibbs. Good tactical switch that from Spurs' point of view.

We HAVE to close this game off. We already got on stupid last minute goal on the weekend, we cannot get two in a row.
