English League & European Football [27th Mar - 1st Apr 2010] **spoilers**

I hope Fabregas plays and I think Henry is going a bit overboard with this 'I don't think I can play against Arsenal' sentiment.

Not really...hes one of our best loved players at Arsenal and i can sympathise his feeling that he doesnt want to play but i imagine he will either start or come off the bench...i just hope he doesnt score hand or no hand lol.

Will be weird seeing him back at Arsenal albeit in another teams jersey though....am looking forward to the game...at least it will be a proper game of football unlike some of the teams that like ot hack down ARsenal because they cant quite deal with their pace.

On another note i hope Bayern get a result against Utd...cant see it in all honesty but can only hope and wish that Utd trip up tonight.

He's a Barcelona player now, he's showing disrespect to his fellow Barcelona players and their fans by stating things like that. You can show respect to your former club without gushing like a big baby about not wanting to play against them.

LOL relax Jakeke...thats all they have against Henry and even then the handball was a mistake that should have been noticed by the ref's;)...its not down to Henry to tell the ref to cancel out the goal.

Cheating and unsporting, referees can't spot everything, it's about time players were more honest.

Woeful from start to finish, complete non performance from midfield, didn't deserve anything from tonight's game. Big mistake choosing Nani over Valencia on the right. Evra looks shattered.

That was a harsh red card, stonewall penalty though. Hats off to Fabregas for stepping up and scoring it under that amount of pressure and I hope his injury isn't serious. Arsenal have a small chance, they'll need to win at the Nou Camp or a 3-3 or higher draw as unlikely as that is. I fear that they'll miss Fabregas far more than Barcelona will miss their central defence. :p

What sort of weird and wonderful world to people live in, where you'd rest your best players in a Champs League quarter final because the other side is 'too good' so you'd lose anyway

It seems the French mentality of surrendering at the first sight of trouble is rubbing off on some of the fans :p

:D

It was a definite penalty but like I said before an incredibly harsh red card and if it turns out that Fabregas has indeed sadly broken his leg, then he gets even more kudos from me for stepping up under that pressure to take a penalty despite the pain he would have been feeling. I really hope he hasn't broken his leg. From that photo of Puyol and Fabregas, he's obviously stopping a goal scoring opportunity nor does he look even close to kicking the ball away preventing Fabregas from shooting.

Gutted for him that his season is over and he'll now face the possibility of not making Spain's world cup squad in time. I do think Wenger should have forced him to come off when he was taken off the pitch.

And Tummy, these are the exact games you do take risks with the fitness of some players especially if they are the ones who want to play and are saying they can play. Hardly Wenger's fault.

Fabregas' injury was a result of a 'tackle' by Puyol not a previous injury he was returning from.

And Wanger? Childish.

No you haven't always called him Wanger, and just to prove you wrong:

Could you imagine Wenger if that tackle was on an Arsenal player and they didn't get sent off?

This is coming from Arsenal's manager and fans, whom a few years ago got in to trouble for having 11 red cards in a season, and Wenger said that the league needs to toughen up? :p

Thats true.

I always used to like seeing little Ray Wilkins :) he is just a nice bloke and always was happy to be talking about football.

This is Arsenal's problem imo, I think that Arsenal are better then most teams in the league, but the teams that are better then them are Manchester United / Chelsea.

Arsenal or Wenger, needs to splash a bit of cash. Arsenal could be right up in the title race with some additions.

Mr Wenger complaining about something :p

Wenger time !

I think Wenger doesn't want to spend money, and because he knows this close to a World Cup some players won't want to move.

By some players I mean the good ones, who won't want to ruin their chance of a World Cup starting place.

I don't know about Andy Gray not liking Arsenal, he like a lot of other pundits / commentators do like to touch themselves over how Arsenal play the "game the right way" and then will slate Mr Wenger for not buying players.

Andy Gray suffers from a lack of knowledge of anyone that isn't top 4.

Nobody thinks Babel is World Class, but he could become a very good player.

I don't think it's all down to Rafa, I agree he's not as good at bringing through young players as per say Wenger.

Babel not developing is down to Babel as much as it is Rafa, infact more so down to Babel.

The English Premier League really isn't that strong if you're talking about the ability of English talent either Pegeon. That's another arguement.

Of course Fabregas didn't look himself, Barcelona work hard in midfield, always closing down, it wasn't until they tired in the second half that Arsenal came back into it.

You just come across as a child calling him Wanger.
