English League & F.A. Cup Football [19th - 24th Mar 2010] **spoilers**

I'm not sure the Ref can send people off for character flaws. Just as well really otherwise they'd have to send off almost every premiership footballer at the start of each game :D

:p

He did enough in the game to warrant two yellows but kicking the penalty spot before Rooney took his penalty just sums him up. :p

LOL at some of the Man United fans on here scraping the barrel for insults (albeit inaccurate/invalid ones). You seem way too proud for scraping a victory at home against a team that lost to Wigan less than two weeks ago.

Not only that, it clearly wasn’t a penalty (some lovely travelling there)…United really must be paying Grant Mitchell more that you paid the Ref in the United vs. Villa Carling Cup final. Not getting sent off for kicking a player in head twice in one tackle is beyond a joke among half a dozen other very dirty fouls (e.g. Rat face). The word ‘hypocrites’ springs to mind when some of you were saying Gerrard should have been banned for this game.

What’s that now 2 out of 3 of United’s last goals against Liverpool came from penalties that shouldn’t have been given? Not only that, you couldn’t even score the penalty first-time you had to get a scrappy rebound.

Both fans (mostly United though) need to stop claiming you achieved far more success than the other. The fact is it’s pretty much even. Most would agree United will probably make it to 19 titles before Liverpool whether that be this season or in the future, but so what, it was Liverpool who went steaming ahead in the first place. Go and win it something like 25 times and the Champions League another couple of times before you start making these claims, then you’ll have a fair point.

Not my intention to offend anyone…will not be reading this thread again so don’t waste time with your silly insults towards me.

Bring on the Barca vs Man Utd CL final!

Hahahahahaha

Hats off to you, setting up a second account nearly 5 years ago to use when your main one gets banned is pretty forward thinking even for a troll. :D

Can't really say I waste my thoughts having hatred for any particular club.

Could have fooled me.

This new 'Liverspuds' term is a bit childish is it not? :p

There are still more surprises left in the last part of the season.

It's also pretty clear Torres deliberately kicked the penalty spot before Rooney took his penalty. That was no accident or coincidence.

I didn't think it was a penalty either. :p

It wasn't a penalty no matter how many times I've watched it, the only saving grace for the decision was that the referee seen it once, and on first viewing I thought it was a penalty, it wasn't until after a few replays that it was clear there was no contact inside the box. Now if Blatter and co had video replays... would that have been a penalty if the referee could see the incident again? I don't think he would have awarded it.

That said, Liverpool were never going to win it, the second half they looked tired. The referee could have also sent off Torres or Carragher so it's not like all the big decisions went to Utd.

Hmmm got a free bet with Paddy Power, currently looking at the Leeds game. Is there any chance of Leeds making a comeback?

at least that is failry clear, in this incident he did not continue holding inside the box so it is a free kick and then there is the question of obvious goalscoring chance

Ok so it shouldn't have been a penalty but a red card. :D

He was through on goal, Carragher too far away to do anything so that is an obvious goalscoring chance.

That's it! I'm taking Villa players out of my FF team, fed up with them in March. Conceding and drawing. How dare they! I need points. :p

Spurs played fantastic in the second half last night, very impressed. It's like Redknapp put drugs in their water bottles during the half time talk. :p

I still don't understand why Moyes was sent to the stands, he didn't do anything. I think Mancini is losing the plot and I'm sure Mark Hughes is laughing into his cornflakes every morning at how bad City have been. Everton are in fantastic form, Arteta is a classy player.

David James shouldn't be anywhere near the world cup squad, in fact his passport should be confiscated this summer.
