English League Football [26th Feb - 2nd Mar 2010] **spoilers**

Sam Allardyce is the biggest **** in the world and i hope the PL come down hard on them. His teams never play good football, he's a fat, crap manager who uses his heart problems as an excuse for everything - its the stresses of the job apparently acoording to him - no its not its your crap diet and lifestyle you lemon! Such an overrated manager and it was shown at newcastle too how rubbish he actually is.

Liverpool havent been great of late but at least we try to play football - it says a lot when fat sam's biggest attacking threat is his defender chris samba! Having a dig at benitez and making a huge deal about that gesture - grow up sam - benitez is getting his own back now :D

I really hope the PL come down hard on teams like rovers/stoke - the 'no-nonsense' attitude will destroy a players career - i really hope ramsay makes a speedy recovery - hes a great prospect

Benitez:

"I think it is a model for all the managers around the world, their style of football, his behaviour,"

"The style of football, I think, Barcelona are thinking of copying."

What a hero :p

Blackburn are a bunch of dirty ****s and Wiley was shockingly bad today. Thankfully Blackburn are also **** because we were pretty poor today.

I didn't see the game, and I won't comment on the ref.

I'm pleased Liverpool beat Blackburn, they play such ****ing **** boring, horrible long ball football.

Erugh.

What do you expect from Big Sam?

Dirty, Hard tackling, route one football. Some things never change. ****es me off that people rate him above lower league managers that get their teams to play football? and Big Sam for England? G T FO.

/rant.

Nothing wrong with the Shawcross tackle, there's a dozen of them every week in the leagues they just don't usually end up with injury's (or indeed contact) as severe as Ramseys. Everything just transpired against him resulting in the worse injury possible.

Footballs just a microcosm for moderm day living - everyone wants to apportion blame somewhere.

You play football and things get broke. Don't like it? Play chess (or post on internet message boards)

Fat Sam actually complained about the amount of free-kicks and yellows given against Blackburn; what a ****! Diouf, Chimbonda and Nzonzi all should have been sent off and he thinks they were hard done by?

SSN showed (when talking about Wenger's claims that Arsenal are targeted) the team that's committed the most fouls this season and no surprises it's Fat Sam's Blackburn. So much for not having the players to be a physical side.

Blackburn fans better hope that Robinson doesn't get injured because without him they've got no more creative players in their side.

I know it's not really a laughing matter but whenever I look on BBC sport page at the fallout from the Ramsey injury there is the expected stories like 'Ramsey has surgery on broken leg', 'Stoke teammates defened Shawcross', 'Wenger fury over horror tackle' etc...... and then I can't help but snort at seeing "Ramsey ruled out of Wales clash".... er, you think?!? :o

Funnily enough he was doing the same thing at Bolton, who were Arsenals bogey team when he was in charge...Bolton under Fat Sam played some pretty dirty and rough football and now hes doing it at Blackburn...Stoke are Arsenals bogey team this yr and last as we cant really match them when it comes to physical/rough play.

It wasn't head high, it wasn't knee high nor was it two footed. Other than the fact Ramsey suffered a broken leg, which happens in football, what exactly was so unacceptable about it? The fact it was full blooded?

The fact he broke his leg, it's never acceptable. The definition of a dangerous/bad tackle is one that causes the other player serious harm, I don't get why other people don't get that. A dangerous tackle is one that threatens to harm another player badly, when it happens, it's dangerous and it shouldn't happen.

I rarely ever see Arsenal players going in for a 50/50 looking like they could kick through a brick wall, that isn't 'full blooded', it's irresponsible and it's not the first time. People say butter wouldn't melt in Shawcrosses mouth but he's broken 2 legs and did Adebayor about 5 yards off the pitch 2 years ago and put him out for 6 weeks iirc. It's not as if it's the first time, he needs to calm down, or learn the difference between a tackle that could break a leg and one that won't. Most players don't struggle with it.

From Wiki

Whilst playing for Stoke in 2007 his late tackle from behind was also responsible for then Sheffield Wednesday (and former Arsenal) player Francis Jeffers sustaining ligament damage and a 3 month layoff from the game.[6] Shawcross was not punished for the tackle which Wednesday player Michael Johnson described as "career threatening".[7][8]

And the 2 on Arsenal :/ one of which was career threatening

And I don't get why you don't seem to understand that any tackle can result in an injury, it's just part of the risk of a contact sport. Hell Anderson over stretched for a ball and is now out for the rest of the season, it's just bad luck, these things happen.

It was still a dangerous tackle. I accept injuries can happen from nothing, but they can also happen when somebody piles through your shin.
