English League Football [30th Jan - 3rd Feb 2010] **spoilers**

Good result, although I must admit I mostly don't enjoy watching Spurs play on TV, I'm always on edge, especially when Leeds got the corner at the end of the first half.

*Goes and hides back in GD >_>

Genuine question to Leeds fans...Is Ankergren always that good ? Excellent shot stopper from what I have seen over the 2 games. Why hasnt even a championship side came in for him.

No.

Cost us in many league 1 games this season. Complete different player in the FA cup. We need a keeper as desperately as we need new full backs.

Regarding the game, slightly disappointed we're out, but then now we finally can just concentrate on getting out of this league. We made Spurs sweat for a while, getting a top four club to a replay at our place was more than we could have ever asked for and we were hardly outclassed.

I love the fact how happy and relieved Spurs fans are though, says it all :D

I was quite shocked by my reaction to the game :(

I was dissapointed Leeds didn't manage to beat Spurs (no offence Spurs fans)

I never thought I'd be saying I wanted Leeds to win a game :p

Of course we're happy and relieved. We're throught to the next round and relieved that the ref didn't give last gasp penalty again. :)

Yeah but when we beat Kettering for example, even after extra time it was kind of just a yeah we SHOULD be beating a team that lower than us. I'm amazed by the reaction that a Premiership club beat a league 1 side. But maybe we are still famous after all :D

A league 1 side that put out a Man U side that was pretty much full strength. You can only beat the team that's put in front of you. :)

Still famous, but for the wong reasons. :p

Like andy said, he's not BUT andy mentioned that hes a different player in the FA cup but it's actually been the same case in the last few league games, he has been fantastic whereas the rest of the team have failed (ala swindon and exeter, he was the only man, as simon grayson put it "who could walk away with his head up")

Looks like he's starting to evolve as a keeper, his main downfall earlier in the season and last season was his communication with his defenders, i think he's working on that well now..........but michalik is a major liability, we NEED kisnorbo and naylor in the back 4 else the defense useless, it'll be made all the better when parkers back in LB too as hughes is a right midfielder at heart and we've got him playing LB! (granted he doesn't do terribly there, but as shown today, it's not his strongest position and he's far too slow for it)

Still famous, but for the wong reasons. :p

To quote a chant during the man utd game: we're not famous anymore

And to be perfectly honest, i actually prefer it that way! Not that i wouldn't like us to be back up there in the future, i just think football is 10x more interesting in the lower leagues

Ankergren seemed good again tonight but he really didn't like to come out for the ball. Thought he would command the box a lot more than he did going by his shot stopping by maybe something he needs to work on!
Can't say I watch Leeds in the league so he may come out a bit more there but he seemed really nervous to come off his line quickly.

Why do you keep calling Spurs a top 4 club, they're not

*Checks the table*

Um yes they are at the moment.

You wouldn't call Hull a Top 4 side if they were in 4th position after 3 games, it's still irrelevant after 22 games. Chelsea, Liverpool, Man Utd and Arsenal are the "top 4" sides, statistically and historically in the Premier League. Spurs are currently 4th. Big difference, imo.

I still can't believe that Arsenal haven't splashed some cash.

Seriously they're a few players away from mounting a decent title challenge, imo.

if you call someone a top 4 side, it's now or nothing really. Pretty sure if you look back over say 50 years there are sides with more of a claim to the term 'top 4 side' than Chelsea. We're over half way through the season and Spurs are still 4th, that's hardly 3 games is it.
