So that's Nani missing the next EPL game away to Everton, then home to West Ham and his last suspended match is the Carling Cup final against Villa. Nice one Nani, just when you were starting to show your worth.
 
But was it a penalty? Does it not have to be inside the box for it to be a penalty kick? This is one of those hazy areas of football that can be interpreted differently by referees.

It was a bloody stupid thing of Fabregas to do in the first place, could have cost Arsenal dearly for that.
 
It works both ways Baz, say Carragher took down Fabregas on the line, Liverpool fans would be saying it was a freekick as it wasn't inside the penalty area. It's one of those things that is interpreted differently by everyone.
 
We're talking about Premier League referees who actually make these decisions during a match, they don't know the rules. :p

Are you saying it's still a penalty even on the very outer part of the line? :p

You and Andy have a love hate thing going on. If he agrees with you he's right and a football expert, and he's a muppet who knows nothing about Liverpool or football if he says something you don't agree with. :D

I agree with you there. How on earth did he not see it? :p

Over the last few years, there's been big referee **** ups every weekend, now it seems like there's one every single game. No fans have been happy with any refereeing performance this season. It's turned into an even bigger joke.
 
I think Evra had a part in it selling Giggs short with a really bad pass that resulted in the challenge. Massive loss and it couldn't have come at a worse time of the season.
 
It's a big loss for club and country. Hopefully he can get fit for the world cup because the idea of Bridge playing there is quite scary, aside from him possibly Shorey is the only other left back I can think of. That's even scarier.
